 INVITATION FOR CHARITY TO ALIGN WITH RAGGAMUFFIN IX New Zealand’s largest reggae and urban music festival Raggamuffin is offering the opportunity for a charity to be part of the 2016 event. Raggamuffin IX will be held on 20 February 2016 at The Trusts Arena in Auckland. One per cent of ticket sales will be donated to the selected charity with additional profile and fundraising opportunities available during the event. Raggamuffin is seeking to align with a charity involved in stopping violence against women or supporting children or young people. Mission At the heart of Raggamuffin we have a desire to provide exciting events with outstanding talent and world-­‐class customer experiences whilst at all times demonstrating a commitment to keeping the safety of our patrons and local community as priority. In addition our social conscience is focused on supporting the move to stop domestic violence against women and to assist children and young people who are struggling due to their personal circumstances. We feel a moral responsibility to assist the community as do those that partner and collaborate with us. Through each and every event, the promoters of Raggamuffin will align our mission with a cause, and provide fiscal support to an organisation that shares our values and conscience. Festival ticketing agency Ticketmaster will manage the donations process. Applications to be the Raggamuffin charity for 2016 are now open. Criteria • Must be a registered charity • Applicants must not have received a Government grant or fiscal support in the past three years • Must align with the mission stated • Must not have previously been supported by Raggamuffin Please note: Selected charity is for Raggamuffin IX only and no commitment is made to any ongoing relationship To apply Send a one page brief including the following: • Clearly state your charity purpose • The opportunity that being associated with Raggamuffin IX will create for your charity • The impact this fund will create for people at the receiving end of your charity • Why you think you should be the chosen charity for Raggamuffin IX Additional background information, publications and testimonials for your charity can accompany your application. Send your completed application to [email protected] by Friday 26 June Selection Process Applications must be received by 5.00pm on Friday 26 June Applications will be considered by the selection panel and the successful charity will be announced on Monday 13 July Selection panel The selection panel will be made up of representatives from Raggamuffin IX, The Trusts Arena, Ticketmaster together with an iwi representative and a representative from the Pacific Island community.
