OJT On-the-Job Training
The Kent/Allegan/Barry Jobs in Demand List is compiled using a variety of data sources. Burning Glass Online Job Ads and data from Economic Modeling Specialists Inc. (EMSI), coupled with knowledge of local
employer hiring needs, were used to determine High Demand Careers. Median Hourly Earnings and Growth Projections were identified using labor market information from the Michigan Department of Technology,
Management and Budget (DTMB), Bureau of Labor Market Information & Strategic Initiatives. Minimum Education/Training Requirements were pulled from the Occupational Information Network (O*NET) Online.
