Year 6 SATs Week
Shooters Hill Lawn Tennis Club
Free taster sessions
It’s an important week for our wonderful Year 6 as they
embark on their SATs test. They have worked their socks
off and are well prepared. Year 6 will come in for breakfast
at 8.30am each morning and will be supported by a number
of adults from throughout the school. We wish them all the
very best – be confident Year 6!
The children really enjoy their tennis
coaching with Phil Layfield. On Sunday
17th May, his tennis club at Shooters Hill
is offering free tennis taster sessions for
children, adults and families between 2pm
and 6pm. Why not check it out??

World Championship Diving
How do you inspire a group of children to love the water??
Taking them to the Olympic Aquatic Centre to watch Tom
Daley in the World Series is a good start. They met two
Russian divers called Roman and Victor who agreed to
have their photos taken with the children. They even saw
them compete later on. And the phrase of the day???? - "Is
that Tom Daley?????" "Is that Tom Daley???" "Is that Tom
Daley??"
BULLYING PREVENTION
We have rewritten our Bullying Prevention Policy in
partnership with the children, governors and parents.
It clearly outlines what we consider bullying to be, our
procedures and how we deal with any raised
incidents. Please do take time to read through this
important document. It can be found on our website
under About Us, Policies, Bullying Prevention Policy.
Thank you. Miss Hogger.
Masterchef Competition
Thanks to our fabulous cook
Vicky for helping Victor Jack
and Moriel cook up a storm as
they entered a national
Masterchef competition. The
boys made some delicious
cheese puffs and victoria
sponges. It smelt amazing!!
They have completed their
entry and we now wait
excitedly to hear if they have
been successful. We’ll keep
you posted. Well done boys!
