Join the Pedal For Hope Cycling Team as we take on the Guinness World Record!
The Pedal For Hope Cycling Team in partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society is excited to kickoff
the 2015 Pedal For Hope Tour. Tour dates this year will be from April 27 through May 16 and the ride
will include trips through Peterborough into Bridgenorth, Lakefield, Omemee, Lindsay, Coboconk,
Minden, Fenelon Falls, Bobcaygeon, Apsley, Buckhorn, Warsaw, Keene, Norwood, Campbellford,
Brighton, Castleton, Gores Landing, Port Hope, Newcastle, Courtice, Brooklin, Kirby and Millbrook and
North Cavan.
Our final ride will take us into the Peterborough Airport on Saturday, May 16 where we will attempt to
break the Guinness World Record of 212 head shaves.
To our friends at KPRDSB, PVNNCDSB and TLDSB (parents, teachers and students), here is your chance to
be part of the World Record. Our school show will remain the same as previous years which will include
head shaves and ponytail cuts. Any students wishing to be part of the World Record (head shaves only)
will still be invited to fundraise, but will have their head shaved at the Peterborough Airport on May 16
instead of during their school assembly. Anyone wishing to have their head shaved and donate their
ponytail (boys and girls) will be accommodated.
Students are welcome to register for the “World Record Head Shave” with the Canadian Cancer Society
online at : www.cancer.ca/headshaverecord
Participants will be asked to fundraise a minimum of $100 to join this event and must have a partner
with them to shave their head. Clippers will be provided.
The Pedal For Hope Team is offering the first opportunity to register to all students involved with Pedal
For Hope. This event will be open to the community to register on April 7.
