Spring Carnival Luau Ticket Information, Single Subject Acceleration

MPE PTA’S Spring Carnival Luau will be on
Saturday, May 2 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Discounted tickets are on sale NOW for $10/child (ages 3 and
older, adults no charge) through April 17th! If you are planning to attend the Spring Carnival Luau, please
consider pre-ordering your tickets. Admission price will increase to $12/child the day of the carnival.
There are two ways to order:
1. You can print the pre-order form here and submit it by April 17th with cash or check to your child’s
teacher or the front office. Please make checks payable to MPE PTA; or
2. Pay online at http://millsparkpta.com/spring-carnival-ticketing/ with a credit card.

Also, take a look at our raffle ticket bundles on the pre-order form – the more you buy, the more you save!
Raffle tickets will be needed at the snack shack, raffle baskets, cupcake walk and the dunk tank.
Pre-ordered admission and raffle tickets are the best way to ensure a successful event and SAVE YOU
MONEY! Your pre-sale order will be available at check-in the day of the carnival.

Autism Awareness Month. April is Autism Awareness Month and
Mills Park Elementary is shining a light on Autism Awareness by joining up with the Autism Speaks Light
It Up Blue campaign for world Autism Awareness Day on April 2nd. What can you do? WEAR BLUE!!!!! On
Thursday April 2nd, and every Thursday in April, wear blue to school to show your support. Mills Park
Elementary will also have each student decorate a puzzle piece in support of Autism Awareness. They will
be displayed in the hallways. Click here for the flyer.

Single Subject Acceleration (SSA) Nomination
Window (4/13/15 - 4/24/15): Nominations for Single Subject Acceleration will not be accepted before
or after the nomination window opens or closes. Please go to the WCPSS’s SSA website for a nomination
form… http://wakeacceleration.weebly.com/. Testing Window (5/4/15 - 5/8/15): All SSA testing will
take place during this week. For more information about Single Subject Acceleration (SSA), please go to

is Mills Park’s AIG teacher.
Spring Carnival Raffle Baskets.

friendly reminder that the Spring Carnival Raffle Baskets are due on Friday, April 17th. Please bring the

Dismissal: Please remember there are NO Dismissals after 3:15 PM. All students must be checked
out from the office by 3:15 PM. If you come in after 3:15, you will be asked to go through the
carpool line and wait for the 3:45 PM normal dismissal time. Thank you for following this policy for
the safety of all our students.
Carpool Traffic Pattern: Please take a moment to review the Carpool Traffic Pattern to ensure
the safety of our families. Please be considerate to others parents and do not cut the line. Here
