Building operational applications with embedded analytics has the power to shift visualizations beyond BI and into the realm of timely, predictive, and even prescriptive data-driven decision-making. In this work-in-progress report, Schell and Reinke discuss their project that attempts to identify and map locations, routes, and other geographic features of Paris from three novels by the French writer Honoré de Balzac.
