900 DUGLESS Fast, safe, efficient cleanups www.minprovise.com.au Features and benefits Designed and built by West Australian-based Minprovise engineering firm, the DUGLESS 900 has found ready acceptance around the world since its launch in 2009 mostly for conveyor spillage cleanup and other hazardous materials handling applications. The mining and bulk handling industries in particular were quick to recognise the immediate benefit of not having to shut down conveyors during maintenance. Conveyor frames are often awkward to work around with low ground clearance preventing access underneath by traditional utility skid steer loaders and other machinery. And cleaning away fugitive material with water trucks and hoses is no longer acceptable. Personnel using shovels could cause other problems such as high cost and increased accident risk – plus the conveyor itself would usually have to be shut down – which meant all site operations would be affected. With remote-controlled ‘Little Duggie’ on the job the benefit is improved productivity which means greater cost efficiency. One interesting case study demonstrating the efficiency of the machine occurred recently at an iron ore site in the rugged Pilbara region of Western Australia. Just one man operating his remote-controlled DUGLESS was able to reclaim 300 tonnes of iron ore spillage from under the conveying system at the stockpile in only 12 hours. That equates to a tiny 5 day payback period in industry productivity terms. A simple 2 joystick hand remote control harness allows the operator to stand or sit whilst operating the unit from a safe distance. Little Duggie weighs 900kg, stands only 560mm tall and is powered by a 2 cylinder Lombardini diesel engine that delivers 12kW continuous power to the steel-belted rubber tracks. The self-levelling 4 in 1 bucket heaped capacity is 0.13m3. It has been remarkably successful in picking up two industry awards within the first year of its launch - winning the Bulk Materials Handling Award from London’s Mining Magazine… the world’s longest running global mining journal, and also winning Best Practice in OH&S Category in the recent Australian Bulk Handling Awards. The DUGLESS 900 was also a finalist in the Innovative Mining Solutions Category of the 6th Annual Mining Prospect Awards. www.minprovise.com.au Safer for awkward locations Standing only 560mm high ‘Little Duggie’ might just be the answer to municipal engineers’ and maintenance contractors’ prayers for a better, safer way to clean out culverts. Cleaning out and general maintenance work on concrete longer acceptable in these times of water conservation. The box culverts under roads and highways has always been a DUGLESS 900 is the ideal solution. A quick, effective and dangerous, tedious and difficult job for municipalities, main safe job can be conducted on many concrete box culverts roads departments and maintenance contractors. Standard like these by one man in one day. And the operator can skid steer loaders are too tall; severe back problems often sit down whilst directing the machine with no discomfort afflict men bending over or crawling through the culvert at all, even when it is way inside the culvert at the most using hand tools to clean out; and water hoses are no difficult section to clean. www.minprovise.com.au Dugless 900 specifications Engine Lombardini 2 Cylinder, Air Cooled, Fuel Injected Diesel Continuous Power 12.0kW Donaldson Top Spin Pre-cleaner and custom filter assembly Air filter system includes blocked filter indicator Model - DUG900 Weight - 900kg Patent Pending Hydraulic System Hydraulic Motors - Danfoss Hydraulic Pumps - Parker (Direct Drive) Proportional Solenoids - Danfoss Return Filter In LIne Oil Cooler System Protection Hydraulic Oil High Temp Auto Thermal Fan Hydraulic Oil Low Level Shut Off Engine Oil Low Pressure Shut Off Bucket Struck capacity - 0.10 m^3 Heaped capacity - 0.13 m^3 4 in 1 Bucket Type Self levelling Angle of Departure 20 Degrees Worklights Front and Rear Tracks Rubber Tracks Multi-idlers Hydraulic Tensioning Arrangement Speed 3.5 KPH Safety Features and Options • Automatic shutdown if the controller is dropped or tilted more than 45 Degrees • Optional laser barriers available • Cameras Remote Control Systems Conforms to ASNZ 4240-1994 Radio Remote Controls for Mining Equipment, and ASNZ 1418.1 - 1994 Cranes Part 1: General Requirements Remote Control Features • IP65 Hand Control - Two Joystick Controls (see layout) • Display calibration of the proportional functions • Spare Battery • Automatic frequency selection with 16 unique frequencies www.minprovise.com.au www.minprovise.com.au Head Office Queensland Office 88 Welshpool Road 26/1048 Beaudesert Rd WELSHPOOL WA 6106 COOPERS PLAINS QLD 4108 T +61 8 9359 6800 T +61 7 3255 5919 F +61 8 9470 9198 E [email protected] E [email protected] Queensland Workshop DUGLESS Workshop 24 Ginger St Units 1,3, 4/38 Cohn Street PAGET QLD 4740 CARLISLE WA 6101 E [email protected] T +61 8 9470 9180 F +61 8 9470 4736 E [email protected] www.minprovise.com.au 14041
