Birmingham Community Healthcare looked to SCC for a new approach to the way its clinical staff worked, helping reduce costs, improved efficiency and a better working life for its staff. LEEDS CITY COUNCIL USE SCC SCC has helped Leeds City Council (LCC) realise £4m in cost-savings across its entire IT estate. HIGHWAYS AGENCY USE SCC Highways Agency developed a ‘service tower’ model as a FICT hosting project with SCC. SCC is to deliver a secure platform for a range of digital services to CESG IL2 and IL3 government standards. HM PASSPORT OFFICE USE SCC NQC USE SCC As part of the HM Passport Office (PO) modernisation programme, a new client queue management system has been implemented which integrates with their customer web portal and allows access for staff at their regional offices to manage the process of new and renewed passport applications. Due to the nature of the data processed through the system, PO hosts the application within SCC’s secure Sentinel public sector Cloud platform. SCC has supported NQC as a UK based SME since their inception ten years ago. Their applications are hosted securely in our Data centre. They started their business as a public sector procurement specialist and have grown into a software development organisation with key applications that support HMG strategy and agenda. CAESER is a tool that can define the maturity of an organisations CSR within the supply chain, HADRIAN is a tool that measures Information Assurance Maturity and Sid4Gov will be the mandated repository for supplier information for any organisation that transacts with HMG. SCC, in turn, uses NQC services to monitor its own CSR and supply chain. OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL USE SCC DEPARTMENT FOR WORK & PENSIONS USE SCC When Oxfordshire County Council was compelled by an ageing system and rising real estate costs to move its established, city centre data centre, SCC provided a highly cost-effective colocation solution that both upgraded its technology and positioned the Council for future growth. SCC support infrastructure within DWP that delivers key analytics to their Ministers and over recent years we have delivered Information Assurance services in the form of IT “Health Checks” for some of their major applications that serve our citizens. In March 2014, in partnership with a UK based SME, we won our first managed service, delivered from our Data Centre and supporting 6,000 thin clients, deployed across 700 jobcentres to enable the Help to Work Scheme launched by HMG in April 2014.
