Jeff Jackson

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Jeffery A.
Jackson to Vice President, Facilities. Jeff is responsible
for overseeing the Environmental Services and
Engineering departments, which includes establishing
operational goals and implementing various projects.
He will oversee the operation and maintenance of MGM
Grand Detroit, as well as provide hands-on monitoring,
and preventative maintenance of equipment throughout
the property. In addition, he will be responsible for
developing and managing long-range building and
construction plans. In this role, Jeff reports directly to
Steve Zanella, MGM Grand Detroit President/COO.

Jeff began his career at MGM Grand Detroit in 2007 as
the Engineering Director. He played an instrumental
role in MGM Grand Detroit’s transition from its temporary
facility to its permanent residence. He has provided
oversight and managed the construction of several
major projects including TAP, AXIS, and the Plum Street
Market Garden at MGM Grand Detroit.
Jeff is a permanent member of the Corporate Social
Responsibility Team and currently serves as Executive
Advisor for the Sustainability Sub-Committee. He
is responsible for developing MGM Grand Detroit’s
recycling program and helped the property earn 4 Keys
from the Green Key Eco-Rating Program, which certifies
hotels based on sustainability practices.
Prior to joining MGM Grand Detroit, Jeff worked for the
Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company for over 21 years. He held
positions in several areas including Food and Beverage,
Quality, and Engineering and helped open 12 hotels.
As a member of the company’s Guidance Team, he
provided leadership, training, and project management
for numerous hotels across the country.
