Dear Ezra Parents/Guardians,
It was so nice to meet all of our 2015-16 kindergarteners here today. As I walked around the
classrooms, it looked like they already knew the routine and were ready to learn! Thanks to our
kindergarten staff and Mrs. VanderWal for all of their prep work.
Ezra’s Boosterthon Fun Run took place this past Monday, April 27th. It was great seeing so
many kids give their all to run so many laps! Boosterthon was a huge success thanks to you and your
incredible fundraising efforts! We are pleased to announce that we have surpassed our original goal of
$30,000 for our playground renovation. Final figures are not yet in, but we will let you know the final
results once all pledges and donations have been accounted for. We are still accepting donations if you
would like to take part and have not yet had a chance to. Please make any checks payable to Ezra
PTO. Thanks again for your generosity in helping us get a new playground for our students!
We also had performances by our Ezra Treble Makers, Band, and Orchestra students at our
Spring Concert on Monday. We had a wonderful turnout, and the music was certainly enjoyed by all.
Thank you to Ms. Tierney, Mr. Wisniewski, and Mrs. Keiser for their dedication working with our
students. We certainly have a lot of talent here at Ezra.
We will be having auditions very soon for our annual “Ezra’s Got Talent” Asset Showcase on
Wednesday, May 13th, after school. The audition is ONLY open to 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. An
information packet and consent form are being sent home in the students’ Friday folders this week.

EZRA SCHOLARSHIP
This is the twentieth year that Ezra Millard PTO is
awarding a scholarship to a graduating senior who
attended Ezra Elementary. The $500 Ezra PTO
scholarship has been awarded to Laurel Mertz who
attends Millard North High School. Laurel will be
recognized at the Millard Public Schools Foundation
annual Hall of Fame Banquet on May 15th. She will
speak at the May 12th Ezra PTO meeting.

PTO NEWS
Please join us for our last PTO meeting of the
2014-15 school year on Tuesday, May 12th, at
6:30 pm. As always, childcare is provided. We
will begin planning for next year’s carnival,
fifth-grade recognition and fun day activities,
vote in new PTO officers, and recognize this
year’s scholarship winner.
We always have opportunities available for
volunteering within the PTO! We would love for
you to join us at this month’s meeting to learn
about how you can get involved.
