Grades 3-5 will be in the afternoon from 1:10 pm-3:30 pm. Students may purchase pizza from the kitchen, or they may bring a sack lunch. Since Field Day is part of our emphasis on healthy lifestyles and fitness, we are requesting that if your child brings their lunch that it is a sack lunch, rather than fast food and soda. Thank you for your cooperation. The official last day of school is Thursday, May 28. It will be a normal school day, with dismissal at 3:45. Fifth grade parents—be sure to come join us as we watch our fifth grade students exit the building with their annual “Red Carpet Walk”. Bring your cameras, and enjoy this special time with your child. On the last day of school, we will also have an all-school picnic. All students will eat outside from 11:40 am-12:00 pm. Recess times will be: K-1 recess 12:10 pm-12:30 pm; Grades 2-3 recess 12:30 pm-12:50 pm; Grades 4-5 recess from 12:50 pm-1:10 pm. Our Family Fun Nights were a great success. No matter where you attend school, you are welcome to use our libraries at any of the above locations! Morning hours are 9:00 am - 12:00 pm Millard Public Schools Summer Library Guidelines June-July 2015 Students are welcome to use any MPS library for summer reading and checkout (see schedule…not all schools are open). Students who attend parochial or private schools will also be allowed to use the library. A registration form is available at the library circulation desk. Students must be accompanied by a parent or other adult. No “drop-ins” or babysitting services will be provided. Security and safety issues are a major concern. Students will not be allowed in classrooms or any other part of the building. Students will be required to leave if their conduct is inappropriate. Only BOOKS will be circulated…students will not be allowed to checkout videos, reference books, periodicals, software, etc. Students should return books to the school where they were loaned. Books will be loaned on a two week basis…..renewals will also be two weeks. There is no charge for summer library use or for overdue materials; however, students will be responsible for lost or damaged books. A replacement cost will be assessed if books are not returned by July 30th. Students may check out up to 5 books per visit. These items must be returned before checking out additional books.
