Melbourne Sexual Health Centre Rhys Kinsey Wadawurrung Kulin Nation A Part of Alfred Health ACTIVITIES & ART PROGRAM FOR YOUNG MEN - 3 hour Workshop. This will suit your school or Community group and can be included in any special events, e.g. a camp. There is flexibility to do only some sections of Deadly Dudes, for a shorter program. . “I learnt a lot more about sex than I knew.”- Year 10 student HEALTH WORKER TRAINING “I enjoyed learning about STIs, Chlamydia and Hep C.” - Year 9 student - 2 hour, half or full day training sessions available. This training provides information, support and guided activities that will allow Health Workers, Elders or Role Models to facilitate the Deadly Dudes program within their own Communities. These sessions allow you to practise your presentation delivery with or without having participants present. COMBINED - Session time is flexible. You may facilitate or co-facilitate a group for practise, as part of your training. Groups can range from 3-15 participants. There is no cost involved. All materials are provided. Artist: Andrew Bamblett A Deadly Way to learn about Sexual & Reproductive health ACTIVITIES AND ART PROGRAM FOR ABORIGINAL YOUTH AND MEN Deadly Dudes provides a safe space for young Aboriginal males (aged 12 – 30) to listen, yarn, share stories and seek advice and support, while participating in activities and art, e.g. paint your message stick with something you learnt, about sexual and reproductive health. The fellas then add their own artwork to make it really ‘Deadly!’ Message St icks The Deadly Dudes Program was designed in 2014, by Rhys Kinsey, a dedicated School teacher committed to promoting sexual and reproductive health education to Aboriginal males. Certificate If you are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and work in the health industry, you are welcome to train as a Facilitator for Deadly Dudes. As a Facilitator you are able to train groups of Aboriginal males in this program. Training sessions have been designed to give Facilitators the skills and knowledge to deliver the Deadly Dudes program in your Community and in your local region.
