Presentations of Learning will take place beginning on Tuesday, May 26th through Thursday, June 4th. Students
will present on the following for each subject:
Art and Design 10
Ms. Martinez
Chemistry
Mr. Itow
English 10
Students will present all deliverables for their Community Logo Project. They will present all draft forms, final Illustrator artwork, and
their process as well as experience. For more information about the

Ms. Martinez
Students will present on the Essential Skill in which they demonstrated
the lowest mastery. Students will also defend the grade that they
feel they deserve and what study skills they will carry over and execute next year to be successful in Biology.
Ms. Casillas
Students will present their Edgar Allan Poe Unit analysis of short story. All previous assigned deliverables – mind map, business letter,
and presentation, should be completed prior to presentation

ENGLISH 10 Honors: Students will use real world murder trials and
cases to present their Edgar Allan Poe Unit analysis of short story in
determining sanity or insanity. All previous assigned deliverables –
mind map, business letter, and presentation, should be completed
prior to presentation date. For more information regarding unit and

Integrated Math 10
Students will defend their current grade by analyzing their assessments this semester. They must analyze their assessments and be able
to complete a variety of problems associated with their errors.

Students will complete a document-based question using multiple
sources. Honors students will be questioned on historical identifications
in addition to the DBQ.

Modern World
History
Ms. Jones
Native students will answer questions about “Mi lado artístico”, “La
Mola”, and “La comida”. They will watch a video and write sentences to
express their opinions about nutrition.
Spanish 2
Ms. Dallochio
Ms. Dallochio
Non- native students will describe themselves, and answer questions
about their daily routines. They will watch a video about food, and
write sentences to demonstrate their ability to use the parts of speech
in context.
*Note: ASL and Spanish 1 students should speak with their teachers to get information about their POLs.*
Retakes will be given for students who score below a 2 on their POL and only if they delivered a wellprepared presentation that followed presentation directions. Retakes will NOT be given for students who fail to
show up for their POL, who plagiarize presentations, and/or present an incomplete presentation.
All students will be given a Habits of Mind grade for their presentation in addition to their Essential Skill grade
they are presenting on. For the Habits of Mind grade, students will be assessed on their presentation skills, including: volume and tone when presenting, eye contact, using slides as a reference and not reading from them,
ability to answer questions, posture, and dress code.
As a reminder, students are expected to dress professionally. Please see Ms. Buckner’s Weebly for more guidelines on appropriate and professional dress.
If you have an unexcused absence and/or are late on the day you present, you will be given a 0 and forfeit
your opportunity to present. It is your responsibility to know when your presentation and/or retake time is.
There are two Green Rooms, Ms. Buckner’s’ room and Mr. Itow’s room. Non-presenting students are required to
be in a Green Room. If you are presenting, you will be in the room you are presenting in for the entire session.
Students are expected to use their time in the green room productively and behave appropriately. If students
abuse the Green Room privileges, their misconduct will result in disciplinary action.
If students in green rooms or presentation rooms need to use the bathroom or leave the room for any reason,
you must ask the teacher in the room. One student at a time per room may leave to use the restroom.
