2015 Mule Mania Contestant General Rules
PRE-ENTRIES CLOSE May 1st

Class Entries must be received or postmarked by May 1st. Class Entry Registration Form Page 9.
Classes for Contestants over 18 years of age is $12.00 each ($15.00 if late)
Classes for Contestants 17 years and under will be $7.00 each ($10.00 if late)
POST ENTRIES Contestants already registered may add or delete classes.
If adding additional classes, they must be added prior to the session the class event is in, by paying the post entry fee of additional
$3 per class.

TRAILER PARKING AND CAMPING
We plan to fill the show, it is important for you to reserve your stalls and camping spaces now.
A limited number of RV spaces are available with water and electricity. No mules are allowed in the RV spaces.
Charge is $20 per night. Please fill out your entry form or call the Dayton Chamber to reserve immediately.
DRY CAMPING/STOCK TRAILER PARKING There will be 20 x 40 ft. camping spaces issued.
The charge is $40 for contestants, $50 for non-contestants. Space is a flat fee for the length of the show.
MULES & DONKEYS ONLY No Horses allowed in the Mule Mania Classic Show, but we invite them to participate in the Parade.
STALLS All animals must be stalled each night. Stalls are available at $5.00 a day with a maximum of $60.
BEDDING PELLETS Pre-order $5.00 per bag.
COLUMBIA COUNTY FAIRGROUND
Directions: Located on the West end of Dayton, north of Main Street, next to the County Golf Course. From Hwy 12 look for the
brown fairground signs, turn on Pine Street. Go just two blocks North and cross the railroad tracks turn left to contestants entrance. These are clean well-kept grounds, and all who attend are asked to leave it that way.
TRANSPORTATION PAPERWORK Owners are encouraged to have a current brand inspection, current Coggins and Health papers.
HEALTH OF ANIMALS At the discretion of the Show Committee, veterinarians may be asked to inspect animals at the expense of
the owner or exhibitor before competition to determine that the animals are free from any infection or contagious disease or extoparasites. Please be aware that ringworm, warts, pinkeye, strangles, contagious ecthyma, scabies, lice, mites, ticks, and fleas all
fall into these categories. No animal that is sick or lame will be allowed to show and will be asked to leave the show.
GATE HOLDS If you need additional time between classes, you must notify the main gate person and we are happy to allow adequate time you will need to enter your class.
CANCELLATION OF CLASSES Show management reserves the right to change combine or cancel any classes.
DRESS Appropriate attire must be worn in all classes. Performance and Halter classes require long pants, boots, long sleeve western shirt and western hat. English classes require appropriate English riding attire, boots, and helmet. Show Committee does not
require, but encourages helmets in all riding or driving activities.
EQUIPMENT - TACK The use of mechanical hackamores, tie downs, running martingales, draw reins nosebands, or other training
equipment and using 2 hands with a curb bit may cause elimination in performance classes. This equipment will be allowed in
gaming events, driving events, tenderfoot, and cattle events.
UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT—The Mule Mania Association and Show Committee have the right to excuse any animal or handler from the arena who show abuse, unmanageability, profane language or unsportsmanlike conduct. This will be strictly enforced.
ALL DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON LEASH OR CONFINED. PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE OF YOUR NEIGHBORS AND CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR
DOG. NO DOGS WILL BE ALLOWED IN CHUCK WAGON COOKING AREA, GRANDSTANDS, OR VENDOR BOOTHS.
