Tales from Ellis Island
Musical readings of texts by Georges Perec about Ellis Island, an islet located near the
Statue of Liberty in New York, through which some 16 million emigrants transited
between 1892 and 1924. By Jean-Claude Drouot who played Thierry la Fronde.

The diary of two New Yorkers
New York is the city that brings these two women together. Renata Adler is
acknowledged as one of the finest writers in American journalism from the second half
of the 20th Century. Sapphire is one of the emblematic figures of the black American
women’s movement. Her first novel, Push, was adapted for cinema under the title
Precious, and won multiple awards. A special event-encounter
