STARWELD Competitive Target: ______________________________________________________________________________ Tracker Starweld Warranty vs. Tracker Warranty Starweld Warranty Tracker Warranty • Mod V and Deep V models have a transferable Limited Lifetime Warranty that covers all external welds and a Limited Five Year Warranty covering the hull, interior ribs and transom. WARRANTY Starweld Warranty vs. Tracker Warranty Tracker Warranty ALUMINUM BOATS LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTYTRACKER® Marine, L.L.C. (“TRACKER”) warrants that your boat was manufactured free of defects in materials and workmanship, to the extent stated herein. This limited warranty is extended to the original retail purchaser and is subject to the following conditions:1. When you pick up your boat through a TRACKER Dealer, you must sign the warranty registration forms delivered to you at the time of purchase. THE DURATION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS ONE (1) YEAR FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE BY THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER. IN ADDITION, TRACKER WARRANTS: A) THAT, FOR A PERIOD OF FIVE (5) YEARS FROM THE DATE OF ORIGINAL PURCHASE, THE HULL, THE INTERIOR RIBS, AND TRANSOM ARE FREE OF DEFECTS IN MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP UNDER NORMAL RECOMMENDED USAGE AND WITH PROPER MAINTENANCE; AND B) THAT, FOR THE LIFE OF THE BOAT, AS LONG AS IT IS OWNED BY THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER, THE EXTERNAL WELDS ARE FREE OF DEFECTS IN MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP UNDER NORMAL RECOMMENDED USAGE AND WITH PROPER MAINTENANCE. This limited warranty applies only to the portions of the boat manufactured by TRACKER. Starweld Transom and hull design vs. Tracker Starweld has a 17 degree deadrise at transom for a very stable platform at the aft section of the boat with less degree of listing when weight is in one corner. We also have a full length reverse chine which runs from the stern to the bow of the boat that directs water down and away from the boat for quicker planing, improved cornering and a smoother, drier ride overall. Tracker transom a 20 deadrise at transom which has a tendency to list when you put a large amount of weight in one specific corner of the aft section. Also the reverse chine only runs a third of the length of their hull theen accompanied by their pressed in performance strakes. Starweld Two Piece Hull /Sides vs. Tracker Two Piece Hull Starweld hulls are two piece hull w/ sides attached to each piece. They are assembled by welding each half of the hull / side combo piece of .100 gauge into a full length extrusion and then welded from the inside to give a clean look on the hull and add superior strength from within accompanied with the TBC – (Torsion Beam Construction) stringer system. Tracker uses a two piece hull and two side for a total of 4 pieces which are then place into an extrusion and welded plus the transom which requires much more welding to make the hull complete. This creates more opportunities for weakness and inconsistency throughout the hull. The finish is sub –par when you look at there boat and welds compare to a Starweld. Starweld Hull Construction vs. Tracker Starweld Torsion Beam Construction is superior to our competition for durability and strength. Instead of flat I-Beams you find on many boats Starweld uses the exclusive Starweld Torsion Beam Construction (TBC) Stringer system for exceptional strength and durability against shock absorption from waves. This bow is also considerably stronger due to our unique heavy duty machine formed ribs. Tracker uses an extruded welded in keel support that assist in taking flex out of the hull and removes pressure where the two hull halves meet. Not nearly as strong as ours or due to our exclusive design. Starweld Hull Construction vs. Tracker STARWELD: Blown – Up View of TBC and heavy duty machine formed ribs inside the hull. Starweld 1900 DC Rod Storage vs. Tracker Targa V-18 Combo Starweld has lockable in floor rod storage for 6 –rod combos up to 8’in length plus has port and starboard side rod storage as well. Side storage makes for a much stronger gunnel and plenty of room to mount track, rodholders and downriggers. Tracker has an open in floor compartment which can hold rods but is not dedicated to rods therefore making it a sloppy storage system. They have top load rod storage on each side but again very poor storage supports. Plus tough to mount track, rod holders and downriggers due to door. Tracker comes with padded backrest and small cushions that cover roughly 40% off the bow area. They do not have padded bolsters running on the inside of the gunnels in the bow. This comes standard on the 18 – Combo but is an upgrade option on the 18-WT model.
