Organisational Environment:
OneCare is governed by a Board of six Directors and managed by the CEO who oversees the operations and
corporate areas. Operations are responsible for the delivery of aged care and home care services across the
State. This incorporates Bishop Davies Court and Barossa Park Lodge in the South and The Manor Complex,
Rubicon Grove and Umina Park in the North/North West plus state-wide Home Care programs. The
effectiveness of these services is managed by each Business Unit Manager through appropriate planning,
resourcing, networking, monitoring, community consultation and clinical decision making to ensure that services
meet our client needs. Corporate has statewide responsibility for high level resources, policy and risk
management, financial stewardship, delivery of systems and business frameworks, governance and internal
service provision.
Role of the Business Unit:
Umina Park offers coordinated and delivered care services aimed at providing quality outcomes to individuals
who choose to reside at the facility.
Position Purpose:
The Food Services Assistant organizes, delivers, prepares meals, snacks and beverages to suit the individual
dietary needs of residents and menu choices and also ensures the undertaking of daily cleaning tasks in
accordance with relevant OneCare standards, plans and guidelines.
Position Accountability:
The Food Services Assistant is responsible for ensuring all residents dietary needs are met, and all relevant
schedules are checked and signed off daily in accordance with relevant standards, plans and guidelines.
The position reports to the Catering Supervisor Umina Park.

Performance Review:
There is a 3 month qualifying period with negotiated expectations for all positions within OneCare. An annual
performance review is conducted with all staff.
Professional Development:
All employees are provided with the opportunity to attend, and expected to attend, agreed training courses as
identified through self-evaluation, discussion with position supervisor/manager, annual review or other
appropriate methods.

Inherent Requirements of the Position:




Appointment to this position will be subject to a National Police Check.
A commitment and understanding of the principles and practices of cultural competence.
A sound working knowledge of computers and Microsoft programs.
Requires a current driver’s license as there is travel within the State
