All Ventura county military retirees & their families are encouraged to attend the NBVC’s
first full-up Military Retiree Town Hall/Information Fair on Saturday morning March 21th
2015
Location of Retiree Fair
The Retiree Town Hall/Info Fair will kick off at 9 AM at the Duke’s Place with a welcome by Captain
Vasquez. Then you will have the opportunity for one-on-one discussions with a number on base and
community resources and subject matter experts. The fair will formally close at noon.
The subject matter experts (SMEs) will be available to discuss health, finance, VA, SSA and other retiree
benefits. They can answer any specific questions and concerns you might have.
The Ventura County Health Care Agency will have a mobile health bus and will be providing free
wellness screening.

Social Security card or ITIN for each family member,
W-2 forms for all jobs worked in 2014, All 1099
forms for other income, Picture I.D. for each adult
filing, Last year’s tax return, Canceled check for direct
deposit of refund, Child Care provider information:
name, address, and Tax I.D. (if available)
Form 1095-A, if applicable

eleven (11) VITA locations:
Free Community Tax Assistance
Free NBVC Tax Assistance
Free ARRP/IRS income tax preparation help will be
offered from 0900 to noon every Tuesday until April
14 at the Port Hueneme Community Center, 550 Park
Ave., Port Hueneme.
Free tax preparation is available for military retirees at
NBVC provided your income is $60,000 or less (check
your 2013 tax form to see if you are close). If your
income is more than $60,000 there will be a minimal
charge.
Hours are Monday to Friday 1130 to 1530. They will
be closed Friday Feb 13 and Friday April 2.
Location is at the Region Legal Service Office, Bldg.
1180, 2nd floor.
Bring all your W-2s, 1099-Rs, 1099-INT and 1099DIV. Also, if you have them, bring a copy of your
2013 Federal and State tax returns. For Direct
Deposit, you must have your bank routing and account
number, they are on your bank/credit union checks.
You must have an email address to register for this
service.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)

your taxes prepared and e-filed for FREE at a VITA
