• More than 30 cities throughout the United States have IMPACT
II business-school partnerships. The program now has several
thousand selectively chosen teacher members.
• The Ventura County IMPACT II program is a partnership of the
Ventura County Economic Development Association (VCEDA), Ventura County Office of Education, the Ventura County Star and the
Star In Education Foundation.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
• Teachers submit grant proposals about classroom-tested curriculum
they have developed. Individual teachers whose proposals are
selected receive up to $500. Collaborative efforts receive up to $750.
• A committee of teachers, school administrators and business
partners, select the most ready-to-share ideas for the grants.
• Business leaders award the grants at a spring teacher recognition program.
• 100% of your tax-deductible contribution goes directly to Ventura County teachers.
• FOR INFORMATION, contact John E. Tarkany at Ventura County Office
of Education, 5189 Verdugo Way, Camarillo, CA 93012 (805) 437-1501
