Alternative 3 – New Presidio Parklands Concept 1
The New Presidio Parklands Alternative
Concepts were developed by James Corner
Field Operations in partnership with the New
Presidio Parklands Project Team, and emerged
from the design submitted during the
“Imagine” phase and subsequent public input.
The following three concepts respond to public
input received to date and may be modified
and/or merged into a single alternative during
the “Design” phase.
A small structure is added in the visitor plaza
for restroom.
Concept 1 includes a Youth Campus that
comprises the Crissy Field Center (Building
603) and a Learning Landscape at the base
of the bluff where outdoor environmental
education and immersive exhibits are
offered. Crissy Field Center remains as is.
Concept 1 includes three overlooks.
