The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Movie Permission Slip Dear Parent/Guardian: On Monday, December 2, 2013, middle school students in grades 6, 7, and 8 are invited to participate in a field trip, arranged exclusively for them, to view the movie The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, based on the second novel in the series written by Suzanne Collins. Viewing Catching Fire will give students the chance to see the novel come alive; they will also be participating in activities centered around the novel and the movie. Please note that this movie is rated PG-13. Your student must return the permission slip on the back in order to attend. Those students unable to attend will remain at school with Ms. Hoffman or another teacher. We will depart at approximately 1115 from Aviano M/H School, and parents (or specified guardians) will need to pick up students at approximately 1500 at the movie theater. Since the movie is 2 hours and 26 minutes long, we are unable to return in time for the students to ride the bus home. Details:  Participating students will need to bring a brown bag lunch and a drink for before the movie.  $10 includes: first run 3D movie + exclusive showing + small popcorn and small drink.  Students may bring money for extra refreshments. The concession stand will be open. We will take a survey of students to see how many hot dogs or nachos the theater might need to prepare. Students should provide payment along with the permission slip on the back of this letter. Payment and permission slips should be turned in by Friday, November 22 to: Ms. May, 6th grade; Ms. Williams, 7th grade; and Ms. Anderson, 8th grade. This field trip is exclusively for the middle school students. No brothers or sisters at different grade levels are allowed to go. The movie will be playing on base during Thanksgiving weekend.
