Noba Vital range - Noba Vital Plus, Noba Vital Pure and Noba Vital Pro Noba BV has developed the Noba Vital range for the stabilization of the intestinal microflora, the strengthening of the animal intestinal barrier and for the overall positive influence it has on animal physiology. Animals that are full of vitality are better armed against infection and illness, they have a more resilient immune system and they need less antibiotics. Intestinal vitality The Noba Vital range consists of Noba Vital Plus, Noba Vital Pure and Noba Vital Pro. Noba Vital Plus is a special fat with a high concentration of lauric acid (C12). Noba developed Noba Vital Pure on the basis of a unique, fatty acid complex formula consisting of medium-chain fatty acids (C8-C10-C12). Scientific research performed by Noba has shown that Noba Vital Plus has a positive effect on the villus/crypt ratio. This results in the growth of a vital intestinal epithelium with longer villi, which increases the absorption of nutrients. Noba Vital Pure has also been shown to have a positive effect on the goblet cells in the villi. These goblet cells produce intestinal mucous, and mucous has a protective and anti-bacterial function. Noba Vital Pro is our newest product in this range and contains the beneficial properties of Noba Vital Plus and of Noba Vital Pure. Anti-microbial effect The medium-chain fatty acids in Noba Vital Plus, Noba Vital Pure and Noba Vital Pro have an anti-microbial effect on both gram-positive (e.g., Clostridia and Streptococcus) and on gram-negative (e.g., E. coli and Salmonella) bacteria. In the specialist literature, we read that C12 fatty acids have a strong inhibiting effect on gram-positive bacteria and that C8 and C10 fatty acids have a strong inhibiting effect on gram-negative bacteria. The Noba Vital Plus, Noba Vital Pure and Noba Vital Pro all have a high concentration of, medium-chain fatty acids. This means that these products are highly anti-microbial. They also have high levels of free fatty acids (FFA). This means that the Vital products are very easily digestible; they are directly absorbed in the intestinal tract. Technical performance Tests have shown that Noba Vital Pro improves growth and feed conversion while decreasing mortality. A practical trial has shown that Noba Vital Pro reduces ear necrosis. This trial has also shown that Noba Vital Plus and Noba Vital Pro decreases mortality. The higher the dosage, the lower the mortality.
