THE HULLAVINGTON SPRINT 22nd March 2015 FINAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPETITORS & SENIOR OFFICIALS Your competition number is shown on the attached entry list; this must be displayed on each side of your vehicle. We do still have some entries available, if you know of anyone wishing to take part or to marshal, please put them in touch with us. ACCESS Hullavington Airfield is accessed from the M4 by following the A429 Malmesbury Road for 1.3miles, passing Buckley Barracks on the left. There is a large building at the northern end of the barracks, followed immediately by a small crossroads. Turn left (marked by arrows) through the gate and then right onto the airfield perimeter road and then left onto the main runway and left again. Follow this towards the paddock area. It can also be accessed from the north via the A429 from Malmesbury. The crossroads are a quarter of a mile past the second turning to Hullavington. On no account must entry be attempted via the Main Barracks through the Camp Security Gate. LAYOUT A map of the overall layout and track is attached plus the draft paddock allocation. ENTRY A copy of the draft entry list is attached FORMALITIES PROCESS Please report to the environmental scrutineer before signing on and as soon as possible, where you will be issued with a process card. Then, when you have successfully completed Scrutineering, proceed to the Event HQ for Signing On. Please be sure to have all your documentation to hand for inspection, especially for roadgoing cars. Adhesive numbers are available at signing on (£1 each). Competitors should have signed on before the Driver’s Briefing at 8.30am Any competitor arriving after this time without informing the Entries Secretary may be excluded from the event. Each competitor will be provided with the opportunity of a ‘Convoy Run’ immediately after the Driver’s Briefing. Thereafter, there will be 2 Practice Runs and the Timed Runs. Maximum speed in the paddock area is 5 mph. Anyone exceeding this speed risks exclusion from the meeting. Pit bikes, Gopeds and scooters etc. are prohibited. Printed results will be displayed at the Event HQ during the course of the event. A provisional entry list, as at closing date, is attached. In the event of some classes having insufficient entries, the Organisers reserve the right to amalgamate them, where necessary, prior to commencement of the event. There will be a full, good quality, catering service on site and we would ask you to support this during the day. You are reminded that spectators and dogs are not allowed. TRAILERS/TRANSPORTERS. You are reminded that you must unload your competition car, tools, wheels etc from your trailer on arriving at the paddock and then park the trailer/transporter in the designated area. You will be guided to this area by Officials/Marshals. There will be no exceptions to this regulation and failure to comply will result in a report to the Clerk of the Course. TROPHIES As you know, Craven Motor Club is raising money for the Combat Stress Charity through this event. As we do not have a full entry, we thought that we could make better use of the funds, by only presenting a trophy for FTD and just giving certificates to the class position winners. The money saved on “dust collectors” will go to the Charity instead; but should anyone desperately want a trophy, we can send you one after the event by post.
