UNION SAVINGS BANK NEWS
Union Savings Bank was honored to participate in their 2nd annual
Save-A-Suit drive. The Bank collected over forty men's and women's
suits and a full box of shirts and ties to support this organization that

officer. The team consists of four vice presidents, business banking

Condominium association is seeking an office manager in
Torrington, CT. The position is a permanent, full-time, salaried
position with extensive benefits. The office manager is a key
member of the management team and must be a motivated, selfstarter with strong organizational and time management skills,

SHEFFIELD KIWANIS TO HOST GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Sheffield Kiwanis golf tournament in support of their
scholarship fund will be held on June 12th at the Egremont
Country Club. Registration for the 4 person golf scramble begins
at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12 noon. Lunch on the course,

10th ANNUAL SKI SUNDOWN BREWFEST
Ski Sundown will host its 10th Brewers Fest at the mountain on June
20th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. This scenic summer tasting experience
focuses on Connecticut’s finest craft breweries and brewpubs, and
beyond. Uncle Polly and the Family Jam will provide live musical
entertainment and a selection of grill foods, side dishes and snacks
by Avon Prime Meats will be available for purchase. A portion of the
event proceeds will be donated to the Connecticut Brewer’s Guild, a
non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the craft beer

Torrington Ambassador – Lynn Gelormino, Warner Theatre
The Goonies on the Warner’s Big Screen! Watch it for only $5 at the Warner on Friday, June 5th at 7 p.m. The Goonies is a 1985 family comedy/
adventure film directed by Richard Donner and produced by Steven Spielberg. It features performances by Sean Astin, Josh Brolin, Jeff Cohen and
Corey Feldman.
The Fifth Annual Butterfly Affair at the Center for Cancer Care will be held on Friday, June 5th from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at 200 Kennedy Drive, Torrington.

Northwestern Connecticut Community College will host general
information sessions and tours of the campus on June 24th, July
15th and August 12th at 3:30 p.m. The information session will
help attendees learn about: academic programs, transferability of
courses, admissions and registration process, student resources,
and get answers to questions. Dress comfortably for campus

SURVIVE THE DRIVE ANNOUNCES “BEHIND THE WHEEL”
DEFENSIVE DRIVER TRAINING
For parents, this may be one of the most important and
memorable experiences you ever share with your child. Learning
defensive driving techniques, together, that may one day save
your lives. Survive the Drive is currently registering participants
for their June 25th “Behind the Wheel” Defensive Driver Training
course at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, CT. Survive the Drive
allows students to participate in the school in their personal
vehicles to experience the feel of the car they will be using in their
daily driving activities.
The program’s early registration and group discount cost is $250
per four hour session. Ask about scholarship eligibility for your
teen. Due to the extreme importance of defensive driver training,
Survive the Drive is confident the seats will sell out and will
introduce new future dates. Participating students must possess
