The panel consists of: Leigh-Alexandra Basha Partner/Chair International Private Wealth Services Holland & Knight Bob Pine Interim Managing Director French American Chamber of Commerce REGISTRATION RSVP online here Registration: $30 Leigh-Alexandra Basha Bob Pine Leigh–Alexandra Basha is a Partner in Holland & Knight’s Private Wealth Services Group where chairs the firm’s International Private Client Practice. She practices in the areas of complex domestic and international tax planning and controversy, and estate planning and administration for high net worth clients and multinational families. She is immediate past chair of the IBA’s Individual Tax and Private Client Committee. She is Vice-Chair of the Income and Transfer Tax Group of the ABA’s RPTE Section. She is a fellow of the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel (ACTEC), an Academician of the International Academy of Estate and Trust Lawyers (IAETL) and the secretary of STEP Mid-Atlantic. Robert Pine is the Interim Managing Director of the French American Chamber of Commerce in New York, as well as the Interim Coordinator of the FACC National Network. By way of background, Bob has had a distinguished career, working in the 70’s at American Express Bank in Paris and Bahrain, and subsequently spending 7 years at Bouygues in Treasury in France and then as CFO for HDR, Inc, a US subsidiary of Bouygues. Starting in 1987, Bob worked in Treasury for New York Presbyterian Hospital, then in 2002 became Vice President Treasury Operations of North Shore-LIJ Health System with oversight of $4 Billion of liquid assets. She received her A.B and LL.M in Taxation from Georgetown University and her J.D. from American University. Ms. Basha is a frequent speaker nationally and internationally. She has been recognized as a Washington Top Lawyer, Virginia Top Lawyer, Leading 100 Counsel in Citywealth (London) and one of Washington’s best by the Washingtonian Magazine. She is a member of the Virginia, Maryland and District of Columbia Bars. Bob has also played a key role as a member of the Lycée Français de New York’s Board of Trustees. He served as Treasurer and Chair of LFNY’s Finance Committee and was instrumental in structuring the financing when the new $125 Million school facility was built. Bob is a graduate of Trinity College, holds an MSFS degree from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and an MBA from INSEAD. Bob is a dual French and American citizen and is completely bilingual. He will be working in the capacity of Interim Managing Director at the FACC NY until a permanent replacement is found.
