Call For Support Staff
The 2014 OCRID Conference is seeking enthusiastic, hard-working, and motivated volunteers to
work at our upcoming conference to be held May 30 in Columbus, OH. Applicants must either be
enrolled in an interpreting program, or have past experience as support staff (student representative)
for state, regional, or national conferences. It is required that applicant become a member of
OCRID. Priority will be given to in-state applicants and graduating seniors. Applicants must be in
Columbus, available for the conference from 12pm on Friday May 29 until 8pm Saturday May 30.
Support staff members will receive complimentary conference registration and hotel
accommodations Friday night for out of town Support Staff.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Assisting the conference support staff coordinator

Assisting the OCRID board

Assisting the presenters and interpreters

Managing workshops

Assisting Registration

Passing out handouts/RID evaluation forms

Running errands/making copies
All persons interested in applying are strongly encouraged to pre-register for the conference if you
are planning to otherwise attend.

Application Packet should include:
- Support staff application (See below)
- College transcripts(s)
- Current Resume
- Proof of OCRID and other memberships
- Provide link to 3-5 min unlisted Youtube Video in ASL introducing yourself (could include
background in education, leadership, ASL, why you are applying, what you hope to give to and gain
from the conference, etc)
- At least 2 Letters of Recommendations emailed separately, directly from the authors by May 1,
2015.
