2015 Poster Contest Rules
• Students who are currently in 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th grade may submit posters.
• Posters should include the theme “Duh-Duh-Dangerous.” Please refer to the included fact sheet for more
information.
• Media may include: marker, crayon, watercolor, ink, acrylic or tempera paint. No pastels or chalk media will be
accepted. No electronic or digitally enhanced images will be accepted.
• Posters are to be no smaller than 8 ½” x 11” and no larger than 14” x 18”.
• Posters must be on paper that will allow for duplication, framing and display.
• Entries must be flat. Please do not fold, mat, mount, laminate or frame entries. Entries must be free of any type
of adhesive.
• Copyright laws prohibit the use of cartoon characters or TV figures, except Petro Pete and other characters from
The Road to Petroville, What’s the Risk: A Story of A Fuelless Boy and Boomer Burrow: Home Clean Home.
• A copy of the official entry form must be legibly completed and securely attached (tape allowed) to the back of
each entry.
• Postmark deadline for entries is Friday, April 3, 2015. Parents and teachers of the winners will be contacted by
April 10, 2015. Entries should be mailed to:

• The OERB reserves all printing rights to entries selected as winning entries. All artwork will become the
property of the OERB and will not be returned unless requested by the teacher.
2015 Awards
• 1st place winner will receive a $300 cash prize, a certificate and recognition at the OERB’s 2015 Well Site
Safety Day. • 2nd place winner will receive a $200 cash prize, a certificate and recognition at the OERB’s 2015 Well Site
Safety Day.
• 3rd place winner will receive a $100 cash prize, a certificate and recognition at the OERB’s 2015 Well Site
Safety Day. • In addition to the top three winners, nine other posters will be chosen as honorable mention. These students will
receive a $75 cash prize, a certificate and recognition at the OERB’s 2015 Well Site Safety Day.
• All of the winning 12 posters will be printed in the 2015- 2016 OERB School Year Calendar. These calendars
are distributed to teachers around the state.
• All 12 finalists, along with their family and their teacher, will be invited to attend the 2015 Well Site Safety Day
on April 28, 2015. 2015 Judges
• A panel of judges will decide the winning entries. All judges’ decisions will be final.
