The prizes for each of the contests below are: 1st prize – A laptop computer (or a cash value of $750) 2nd prize – An IPad (or a cash value of $500) rd 3 prize – A digital camera (or a cash value of $250) Two ways to win. GOOD IDEAS CONTEST - We want to share your “good ideas” with the rest of the delegates at convention. You send them in and we will present the winning “good ideas” to the delegates. The entries can be a PowerPoint presentation, Word document or even handwritten. The suggested subject areas are fundraising, membership, and/or promotion of the Order. Anything that applies to our new Mission Statement will be considered. The Member Services Committee will make the final selection of the winning “good idea”. LODGE PROJECT VIDEO CONTEST – The Member Services Committee feels we need to collect our stories to build a video storyboard from our Lodges. Videos can easily be distributed electronically and have a better impact than a document. Use your camera or phone (most new phones take videos) to record one family that your Lodge has helped. Let them tell their story about the Elks and why they are so grateful the Elks stepped up to help. It can be any help or cause that your Lodge has been involved in but make the video personal, interesting and entertaining. Also make sure the parents of any child on the recording gives us permission to use the video. This contest will be a bit different as it won’t be judged. We will put the names of all the entries in a drum and draw a 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winner. The deadline for submission for your entries for both contests is April 15th, 2015. All entries are to be sent to the Grand Lodge office.
