You Swim, They Coach, We Cheer!
PURPOSE
The Princeton Kokanee TRY Meet is meant to be a fun day of swimming competition. It
is a way for new parents/swimmers from all teams to learn a bit about what a swim meet
entitles for competition and running a meet
LOCATION:
The TRY-meet will be held at the Princeton Centennial Pool. The pool is a 5 lane 25 yard
outdoor pool. The pool is located on Hwy 3 across from the Police Station. Head East on
Hwy 3 and turn left off the highway just past the baseball diamonds.
SCHEDULE:
Warm Ups will start at 8:00 am with Div 1-4 going from 8:00-8:20, and Div 5-8 going
from 8:20-8:45.
The meet will begin at 9:00 am and finish around 3:00 pm with a barbecue for all to
follow. There is a 3:00pm FIRM finish time, so if we aren’t all the way through we will
be done.
RULES:
While there will be no formal disqualifications in this meet, BCSSA rules for 2015 will
be applied for the purpose of judging stroke and turns. The meet provides an opportunity
for new and seasoned officials to practice their stroke and turn rule applications.
The swimmers will not be disqualified.
Parents and family members new to swimming or officiating this will be a great way to
get started and learn about becoming a deck official.
We will also require parent volunteers for set up, and timing. Thank you for your
assistance in this regard. Each team will be required to man a lane for timing. Schedule to
be provided during warm up.
EVENTS
This will be a card less meet, swimmers must attend to marshalling calls. Swimmers will
be allowed to enter in to 4 events and 2 relays each.
Events will be run in an open format. Events may be mixed in age/gender in order to
have full heats.

ENTRY FEES:
All swimmers will be charged a flat rate of $15.00. This will include the barbecue
afterwards.
Its not how fast you swim, but how you swim fast.

REGISTRATION
**Because of the size of our pool we will be taking a MAX of 100 swimmers. First come
first serve**
Submit all registrations by email to: [email protected] NO LATER THAN
Tuesday JUNE 9, 2015 at 8:00pm.
Coaches will be provided with a confirmation list on the Friday before the meet. Invoices
will be sent with that confirmation list. Payment in full will be expected on Saturday
morning at the scratch meeting to the Meet Manager. There will be no deck entries at this
meet.
FOOD
Swimmers may bring food on deck
Food and drinks will be provided for the officials
A BBQ will be provided for all swimmers following the meet, parents and family may
join in by donation.
