This weekend marks the beginning of our annual Catholic Services Appeal! This year ’s CSA theme, Bringing Jesus
Christ to All, emphasizes Christ’s message in St. Matthew’s Gospel to make disciples of all nations. Our theme is indeed
fitting as the Church focuses on the New Evangelization — spreading the Good News of Christ to the world. Gifts to the
CSA make possible a wealth of ministries, programs, and services that touch the lives of thousands of Catholics throughout
the Archdiocese of Detroit each day. No one parish, on its own, could provide all of the blessings that benefit so many. The
CSA is a pledge program, allowing you to spread your gift over several months. Last week, all parishioners should have
received information about the Catholic Services Appeal in the mail. Please prayerfully consider the most generous gift
possible to support the 2015 Catholic Services Appeal. Please drop your pledge or gift in Sunday’s collection or in the mail.
Thank you!
The Knitting Club will meet today, Sunday, May 3rd after the 12:00 noon Mass in the Parish Center.
Wednesday of this week, May 6th the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be offered after the 12:15 p.m.
Mass.
As we continue to pray for vocations, let us keep in our prayers in a special way all of the Transitional Deacons who
will be ordained for the Archdiocese of Detroit on May 23rd at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral-Transitional Deacons
Mario Amore, Sean Bonner, Brian Meldrum, Jacob VanAssche and Radoslaw Zablocki. May God bless them as they
enter their new life of ministry in service to our Lord.

A PRAYER FOR THE SICK
Creator of goodness and love, hear our prayers for the
sick members of our community and for all who are in
need. Amid mental and physical suffering may they
find consolation in your healing presence. Show your
mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, make broken
bodies whole and free downcast spirits. May these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and join
us in thanking you for all of your gifts. We ask this
through the Lord Jesus who healed those who believed.
Amen.

Prayer for the Beatification of
Venerable Solanus Casey
The Fr. Solanus Guild members invite the faithful of the
Archdiocese of Detroit to pray for the advancement
toward the beatification of Venerable Solanus Casey. The
Official “Prayer” is as follows:
O God, I adore you. I give myself to You.
May I be the person You want me to be,
and may Your will be done in my life today.
I thank you for the gifts You gave to Father Solanus.
If it is Your Will, bless us with the Beatification of
Venerable Solanus so that others may imitate and carry on
his love for all the poor and suffering of our world.
As he joyfully accepted Your divine plans, I ask You,
according to Your Will, to hear my prayer for … (your
intention) through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Blessed be God in all His designs.
