The Most Holy Trinity
Our Lady of the Rosary Mission Statement
We, the Parish of Our Lady of the Rosary, are a pilgrim church. Under the
mantle of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we grow as a people of God following Jesus,
celebrating the Eucharist, living apostolic service, continuing faith formation
and Marian devotions. We strive to bring the joy of the gospel and imitate Jesus
through compassion, mercy and love, especially for the poor and marginalized. We seek to be faithful stewards providing a heart and home for all. Our Lady of the Rosary

Pastor’s Corner
Our conviction of the presence of the Triune God
within us should help us to esteem ourselves as God’s
holy dwelling place and enable us to lead purer and
holier lives, practicing acts of justice and charity. This
Triune Presence should also encourage us to respect
and honor others as "Temples of the Holy Spirit."
The awareness and conviction of the presence
of God within us, gives us the strength to face the
manifold problems of life with Christian courage.
It was such a conviction that prompted the early
Christian martyrs, when taken to their execution, to
shout the heroic prayer of faith from the psalms: "The
Lord of might is with us, our God is within us, and the
God of Jacob is our helper" (Psalm 46).
We are created in love -- to be a community of
loving persons, just as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
are united in love. Since the day we were baptized,
we have belonged to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
How privileged we are to grow up in such a beautiful
family! Hence let us turn to the Father, Son and Holy
Spirit in prayer every day. We belong to Their family,
the family of the Triune God. The love, unity and joy
in the relationship among the Father, Son and Holy
Spirit should be the supreme model of our relationships
within our Christian families. Our families become
truly Christian when we live in a relationship of love
with God and with others.
We are made in God’s image and likeness. Just
as God is God only in a Trinitarian relationship, so
we can be fully human only as one member of a
relationship of three partners. The doctrine of the
Blessed Trinity challenges us to adopt an "I-and-Godand-neighbor" principle. I am a Christian insofar as
I live in a relationship of love with God and other
people. Like God the Father, we are called upon to
be productive and creative persons by contributing to
the building up of the fabric of our family, our church,
our community and our nation. Like God the Son, we
are called upon to reconcile, to be peacemakers, to put
back together that which has been broken, to restore
what has been shattered. Like God the Holy Spirit,
it is our task to uncover and teach truth and to dispel
ignorance.
St. Francis Xavier’s favorite prayer was: “Most
Holy Trinity, Who lives in me, I praise You, I worship
You, I adore You and I love You.” May the Son lead
us to the Father through the Spirit, to live with the
Triune God forever and ever. Amen.

able to discontinue contributions in the system at
any time. If you have any questions, then please

Thank you for considering Online Giving!
Come to Me and I will Refresh You
Our Lady of the Rosary established a small
adoration chapel to allow anyone interested the
chance to sign up for a private, weekly, one hour
devotion. The intent of the chapel is to provide a
private place where you may focus, uninterrupted,
on Jesus without the distractions associated with
regular “perpetual” adoration chapels. This is an
excellent opportunity to put forth the extra effort for
Jesus to reflect upon the salvation He purchased for
us. Spend some time with the Blessed Sacrament
and focus on Christ. Commit to one weekly hour
with the Lord in the Adoration Chapel (Church
parking-lot). You will treasure the 60 minutes of
peace and heart to heart with Jesus in the Holy
Eucharist. If interested in participating in this
opportunity, you must be signed up and attend only
during your hour. Please do not interrupt another
adorer during their assigned private hour. To sign
up, contact Donna at the office at (619) 234-4820 or
[email protected].

Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Sunday, June 21st, our Sacred Heart Society is
sponsoring a Special Celebration at the 10:30 AM
Mass, celebrated by Bishop Emeritus Robert Brom.
The human heart has always been considered as
the true symbol of Love, because love is necessary
to us, as is our physical heart. When we celebrate
Jesus’ Heart we celebrate His infinite personal love
for us. Jesus’ love made Him accept death on a
cross rather than abandoning us to the evil one. To
Jesus’ love: honor, praise, and thanksgiving!

Please, come to Church Dressed Appropriately!
To be modestly and tastefully dressed is a sign of respect for God, for our selves, and for others.
It’s a false assumption that God does not care how we dress. Jesus told us “Whatever you do to the least of my brothers,
you do it to me.” If our attire is indecently provocative (short shorts, strapless, backless, spaghetti strap dresses/tops, or
displaying cleavage), displaying unwholesome graphics (skulls, advertisements, scantly clad people) or tattered, it becomes
offensive to our brothers and sisters who are worshipping the Lord and therefore offensive to God’s Majesty.
Ask this question: “Would you dress this way before God?” You are! He sees everything and you are in His house.
