Dear Families,
The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board (KPDSB) recognizes the importance of
communicating with families and their children in regards to a child’s assessment and
evaluation in the reporting of academic achievement on the final report card. The
Board continues to work locally with the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario
(ETFO), schools and teachers to ensure that all children receive their final marks. As
part of ETFO’s provincial job action, the final report card will only reflect either a letter
grade or percentage grade as a calculation for their second term marks.
We encourage families throughout the school year to maintain contact with your
child’s teacher to discuss how your child is doing in school at any time. Although the
final report card will not include comments from your child’s teacher, it will include final
marks for the year and we encourage parents to contact the teacher to discuss
individual student progress.
Please contact the school at any time if you wish to discuss your child’s achievement
this school year.
