News Briefs Pizza Hut! Students may purchase extra slices from their lunch accounts when Pizza Hut is on the menu IF they have a positive balance their account. Extra slices cost $1.20.Parents, make sure you let your child know whether or not you want them to have an extra slice.! NeSa Testing! April 14, 15, 16, 21 & 23 grades 3-6 will be taking the NeSa test. Please help us prevent interruptions by scheduling appointments outside of the testing times. Community Club Announcements:! Safety Patrol members, including alternates, need to report to school at 8:20 every morning! • Safety Patrol will be expected to be on duty from 8:25-8:40am and 3:30-3:45pm. • Wednesday afternoon patrol will be 2:55-3:15 • Safety patrol vests are located inside and to the right of the classroom. Please take care of these items because they are expensive to replace. Anyone who knowingly destroys this property will be expected to pay for the replacement. • All posts should carry a two-way radio. Radios are for emergency contact only and playing around will not be tolerated. Con sequences will include suspension from duty and exclusions from celebrations. • Captains—Please put up the flags in the morning, take them down after school, make sure all vests are hung up and that all radios are off. • Always make sure the radios are recharged! Resident Registration Opens Monday, April 27 Deadline: Friday, May 8, 2015 Non-Resident Registration Mon., May 4- Fri., May 8, 2015 ! Course information and registration forms will be sent home the week of April 20th. You may register at any elementary building or online. Summer School! Request for Tuition Waiver Code based on Free & Reduced Status If you would like to share your child(ren)’s free and reduced meal eligibility status to have your summer school tuition waived, please complete this form and return it to your elementary school secretary. Registration will be online, and the school secretary will give you the needed code to use during registration. The first day to signup for summer school will be April 27th. It is suggested that this form is filled out and returned by April 1st to allow for enough time for applicants to receive approval before the first day of signing up. This form is only to be used if you have not already given permission on your original application. ! ! Incoming 7th graders will need a complete health physical, with updated immunizations, upon entering WMS this fall. Your physician may print out the physical and immunizations on his/her forms, or you may print the 7th grade health physical exam form off of the WMS website under the “Health Information” tab. This exam must be completed anytime after February 11, 2015, and before school starts. ! Please bring these forms to the WMS Orientation (dates TBD), or drop them off in the main office at WMS only. Please do not send them with your child, or give them to your elementary school. ! If your child has any chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, etc., please contact me and we will make sure the appropriate paperwork/health action plan is completed, so we are prepared prior to school starting.
