Auction Guidelines and Rules
Registration
Tickets sales and registration will begin promptly at 6:45pm.
Personal Bid Numbers
Everyone who wishes to bid on an item must register and use their ticket
number as their assigned bidding number. This number is for your personal
use only as you place bids throughout the evening.
Bidding
 Silent auction bidding will begin promptly at 7:30pm. Please await the
call for open bidding. Silent auction bidding will end at 9:30pm.
Announcements will be made warning the close of the auction.

Bid sheets are displayed with each auction item. All bid sheets must
remain on the table with the auction item at all times. Bid sheets will
contain the following information:
Minimum Starting Bid – This is the lowest acceptable price for an item.
Bids below the minimum bid amount will not be accepted. Items may be
withdrawn if the starting bid is not met.
Bid Increment Amount – This is the smallest acceptable amount for which
each new bid must made. A bid which is made at less than the minimum
increment will be disqualified. Each new bid must be made in correct
increments and round dollar amounts.
Buy-It-Now Price – Auction guests may purchase any auction item
immediately at this price given. Please list your bid number on this line.
Guests purchasing an item at the Buy-It-Now price may make payment at
the cashier at any time throughout the evening. See an Auction
Committee Chair for assistance.

When placing bids, please print clearly both your bidding number (ticket
number) and bid amount on the first available blank line. Once a bid is
entered, it may not be erased, crossed through, or removed. Alterations to
bids, quantities or prices for any item can only be made by an Auction
Committee Chair.

All bids are binding and all sales are final. Auction items are sold “as is”.
Holy Redeemer School, Parish and the HSA make no warranties or
representations of any kind, nor assume any liability with respect to items
or services offered, nor are they responsible for the correct value,
description, or authenticity of any item. There are no refunds, returns, or
replacements for lost certificates. Items with no bids at the close of the
auction will remain in the custody of the Auction Committee and used in
future fundraisers for the benefit of the School.

Please note that most items have expiration dates that need to be honored.
Auction Closing
Once the silent auction closes, no further bidding is allowed. Auction
Committee Chairs will highlight the winning (highest qualified) bids on each
bid sheet. Disagreements as to the winner of an item will be settled by an
Auction Committee Chair. All decisions of the Auction Committee Chair are final.
Checkout
 Once all winning bids have been highlighted, winners may collect their
winning bid sheets and proceed to the cashier. Payment in full (cash or
checks made out to Holy Redeemer) is required.

Once items have been paid, winners will be given their processed bid
sheets. Return these bid sheets to the auction tables where the items are
located. An Auction Volunteer will release the items to the winner once
the bid sheets have been received.
Please have patience, or another beverage, during the Checkout procedure. There may
be a line or a short wait. Actually, we’re counting on it! So relax, enjoy the
music, and marvel at your future purchases.

Auction items must be removed from the School at the end of the event. If
the winning bidder is not available at the end of the evening, the Auction
Committee Chairs will contact that bidder by phone. If the winning
bidder cannot be contacted or does not make arrangements to pay for
their item by May 1, 2015, the next highest bidder will have the option to
purchase at their highest bid.
Thank you for coming and enjoy the evening!
