Kayak or Canoe on the Susquehanna River
Friday, June 19 - West Pittston to Wilkes-Barre’s Nesbitt
Park (3 hour- early evening)
Saturday, June 20 - Apple Tree PFBC Access Harding to
Wilkes-Barre’s Nesbitt Park (4-5 hours)
Sunday, June 21 - Nesbitt Park to Hunlock Creek (4 hours)

Event Fees: Pre-Registration is required/Registration is included with
Shuttle Buses Schedule:
rentals. Registration includes shuttle bus transportation, T-shirt, river guides,
insurance, etc.
Meet shuttle buses at parking area at end of
the Kingston side of the Market St. Bridge:
4:00 pm on Friday, June 19, leave for West
Pittston; 7:30 am on Saturday, June 20 for
the Apple Tree Boat Launch.
$25 Event Fee: Bring Your Own Boat - We Will Shuttle You
fee covers shuttle buses, guides, insurance, water, bathrooms & T-Shirt.
$45 Event Fee with a Recreational Kayak Rental (life jackets provided)
$60 Event Fee with a Tandem Kayak or Canoe Rental (2 person)
Meet shuttle buses at Hunlock Creek
Access: 7:30 am on Sunday, June 21,
shuttles will leave Hunlock Creek Boat Access
off Route 11 near the Drive In
Just want to try out a Kayak
Kayak Demo Rentals at Nesbitt Park: 4-6 pm on Saturday,
$10/hour - Ages 16 and up.
A mandatory safety training will be given to all participants before the launch.
**Sunday Restrictions - Because of Nanticoke Rapids there will not be tandem
kayak or canoe rentals or children under 12 allowed on the Sunday Trip!
- Boats using PFBC access on Saturday must have a launch permit.
- Proper PFD (life jackets) must be worn by all participants.
- Bring proper water shoes (not flip flops), snacks, water, and sun screen
- Overnight camping is allowed at Nesbitt Park with outfitters.
Shuttle buses will not be able to
move boats.
If using your own kayak or canoe you MUST
take your boats to launch sites and then drive
back to the shuttle pick-up point (Nesbitt Park
or Hunlock Creek).
