Software Quality Assurance Engineer / Team Lead About the Job Reports To: Director of Engineering Location: Mississauga, ON Strategic Level Responsibilities Are you a Software Quality Assurance Engineer looking for an exciting company where you can contribute to today's hottest information technology? We are currently looking for a full-time QA Engineer / Team Lead for projects in cloud data control and QA automation. You will be working with some of the world’s leading cloud solutions, and testing the next generation of cloud security. Our Quality Assurance team has an immediate opening for an experienced software quality assurance engineer who can provide team leadership while also being hands-on, with expertise in testing server-based software through both browser clients and various API calls. We are looking for analytical testers that can create, execute, and automate test cases for functionality, performance, and security. We also want you to handle task delegation and process compliance, and to be a voice for QA throughout the software development lifecycle. About You             Experience testing web-based software (eg. Salesforce.com, Oracle CRM On Demand, etc.) using multiple browsers, in both an automated and manual testing environment for functionality, performance, and security Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience testing multi-tier applications and network technology Experience creating test plans and test cases using formalized methodology Leadership and process management experience, especially with teams in multiple locations Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium 2-5 years of software design/testing, preferably in Java environment Experience installing and using Solaris and Linux operating systems at both GUI and command line Experience using databases (Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server) Exposure and understanding of SOA design and development principles is desirable A positive attitude and a results-oriented work ethic Preferably experience with HTTP, SMTP, TCP/IP, SSL, TLS protocols Company Description Perspecsys Inc. is a provider of cloud data protection solutions that enable missioncritical cloud applications to be adopted throughout the enterprise.
