Director, Product Marketing About the Job Perspecsys’ Cloud Data Protection platform solves key data compliance, privacy and security concerns for enterprises adopting cloud-based applications. The solution puts enterprises in complete control of their cloud data at all times, allowing them to simply address the leading data compliance and security challenges impacting enterprise cloud adoption. Perspecsys is recruiting a proven Product Marketing professional to fill the role of Director, Product Marketing. This individual will be based in our McLean, Virginia office and will report directly to the CMO. The Director, Product Marketing (DPM) is responsible for the outbound marketing activities driving demand for the Perspecsys product suite. The DPM will drive the messaging and positioning for our products and conceive/develop/execute innovative marketing programs that drive demand/leads. Attention to detail, ability to create compelling and impactful content, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits is critical. In this role the DPM will be the expert in our buyers, understanding how they buy, how they evaluate solutions and what makes Perspecsys the solution most aligned with their needs. They will be responsible for transferring this knowledge to the sales team. Key Responsibilities Demand generation and tracking – develop the strategy and manage the associated marketing programs and tactics to drive leads and awareness for our products. Track and report on campaign effectiveness, lead generation, etc. Manage/Lead the marketing program team including Inside Sales Team Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of our products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of our products; extend these tools to our channel partners Product launch – plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the crossfunctional implementation of the plan Market intelligence – be the expert on our buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on our competition and how to defeat them Requirements 10+ years of software product marketing experience with at least 3 years-experience in a field facing role Bachelor’s and/or MBA degree in business or marketing Experience in the SaaS, Cloud, and/or Security markets a plus Very strong written and verbal communication skills Working knowledge of Salesforce.com Willing to travel up to 25% Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and crossfunctional teams, and third parties Entrepreneurial spirit and demonstrated accomplishments working in start-up environments
