Welcome to the Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport! Our tiers are numbered from bottom to
top (ie, the bottom tier is tier 1 and the top tier is tier 4). Throughout the tiers of the Strength &
Conditioning Centre (SCC), you will find a selection of Keiser Squat racks, Keiser Functional Trainers,
Eleiko Olympic barbells, plates and dumbbells and selectorized Life Fitness weight training equipment.
In the cardiovascular training areas, located on tier 2, you will find a variety of machines including Precor
EFX elliptical trainers, VersaClimbers, Woodway treadmills and Concept II rowing machines. As a
courtesy to others, please note that there is a 30-minute time limit on all cardio equipment.
A variety of orientations are available for those who would like to learn how to use the equipment safely
and effectively. Please refer to the Drop-in Group Fitness schedule for a weekly view of all of our drop-in
programming. Participants are encouraged to register for strength & conditioning orientations at least
24 hours in advance. Orientations can accommodate a maximum of 4 people per session.
Register online or visit the Main Office to register. Go to www.physical.utoronto.ca  QuickLinks
Online Registration  Programs  Downtown-Learn to MoveU  Strength & Conditioning
Orientations.
The Strength & Conditioning Centre’s two accessible training areas are tier 1and tier 4. Please use the
elevators located at the north and south ends of the facility if needed or ask staff for assistance.
Please note that equipment and designated areas may be reserved at any time for Intercollegiate or
high performance group training, faculty research and programs (such as orientations), registered
programs or personal training. You can find our tier booking schedule posted throughout the facility or
online at http://www.physical.utoronto.ca/FitnessAndRecreation/Drop_In_Programs/Schedules.aspx
The Goldring Strength & Conditioning Centre is a NO DROP ZONE. Please note that the building was
not designed to withstand heavy weightlifting outside of the Speed & Power Centre. Repeated, heavy
drops (of weighted bars, dumbbells, etc.) could cause damage to various systems and finishes within the
facility as well as disrupt other users and operations. Please feel free to speak with strength &
conditioning staff if you have any questions.
Enjoy your workout!
