Memorial Donations
Will Donations
High school graduates remember their high school years
as the best years of their lives. This is especially true with
Pike High School alumni. High school students develop
close and lasting relationships through Pike’s outstanding
academic, social, f ine arts, and athletic programs. The
teachers and staff at Pike High School have shaped our
lives with their guidance and academic contributions.
Today the alumni enjoy and continue to benef it f rom the
Pike community of student and alumni f amily. Pike High
School students can expect to benef it f rom the continuity
of academic excellence and achievement as they move
into adulthood. Pike High School’s outstanding scholastic
record is evidenced by a graduation rate of 90%.
The Alumni Association began a new f eature in 2011, a
memorial column. It shows who has donated money to
the scholarship f und in memory of a Pike person.
The Pike High School Alumni Association, a 501 (c)(3) tax
exempt organization, supports class and alumni activities.
But its most notable contribution is the Pike Alumni Association Scholarship Fund. The Association seeks to
provide scholarship f unds where there is a need.
In memory of
You can show your gratitude to the institution and carry
the tradition of excellence and f amily f orward by remembering the Pike High School Alumni Association in your
Will. Call or email Charlie Ward for more inf ormation on
such donations at cpw@wardlawf irm.com.
Contributions made in the name of “Doc” Land and
Charlie Amick each reached the $1000 level and f unded
scholarships in their names which were awarded in
2013. Other memorial scholarship monies went into
the general scholarship f und to add to the Pike Alumni
Association Scholarship.
We are starting the memorial donation list again to
contribute to scholarships which will be awarded in
2015.

Alumni Association Participation
The Alumni Association operates with a small nucleus
of Pike graduates who are dedicated to f urthering Pike
activities, memories, and scholarships.
This small group has taken on the golf outing as its
major endeavor. But it also sends out newsletters, helps
with reunions, and with the Harris Directory inf ormation.
We know that everyone is very busy with their own
activities, but the Association could def initely use more
willing participants.
The group only meets 6 times a year. Meetings are the
2nd Sunday of January, March, May, July, September,
and November. Meetings begin at 1 pm (sometimes
varying to accommodate Colts games) and rarely last
more than an hour and a half .
Special events include the Golf Outing, the Business
Meeting and other activities such as the Homecoming
Tailgating Party.
Please Mark Your Calendars! Hopef ully more of you
will decide that you can spare a little over 6 hours a year
to help create f un activities for f ellow Pike grads and to
raise money for current Pike students.
