*A $50 late registration fee per competitor must be included with all registrations postmarked after the
team’s registration deadline. After May 17th, late competitor registrations will be accepted subject to space

Spectator Admission Tickets, T-shirts, and Program Orders will be accepted through May 19, 2014
Hotel Reservation Cancellation Policy: The deadline for any cancellations or changes to room reservations under the USAJR room block at the three Headquarter hotels is May 20, 2014. Cancellation or changes made after this date will be charged for the equivalent of a one-night stay.

Do you have a group that wants to try something new, innovative and cool? We want you to register
for the Double Dutch Throwdown! You can bring your own style and your creativity has no limits!
Registration Fee: $20 per person (per team)
Time: 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm (jumper party following)
Location: Ballroom at the Westin
Team Size: Minimum of 3 athletes; Maximum of 6 athletes per group
Length of routine: Minimum of 45 seconds; Maximum of 2 minutes
Divisions and Rules:
 Competition Age 14 & Under (may have one 15 & Over aged athlete on team and be allowed to
compete in this age group)
 Competition Age 15 & Over (must have at least one 15 & Over aged athlete)
 No gender divisions
 Must Use Music for routine (no explicit language or content)
 All routines must be DD routines and can only use 2 ropes (length of ropes up to individual team)
 Costumes can be creative but please keep them appropriate
 Team Names can be creative
 No Team or Region restrictions
Competition Space: Routines must be jumped on a 30 x 30 area of Sport Court
Team Registration: First 8 teams per age group/per team registered by April 2, 2014 starting at 12
a.m. CST (midnight) via e-mail will be accepted on a first come first served basis. We will contact you
to let you know if you made the top 8 and will register your group at that time. We may add additional teams.

T-Shirts for purchase: $15
Awards: A trophy and jump ropes sponsored by the Flight Crew Jump Rope will be given for the top
team in each division. One award per team.

About our Contracted Hotels
USA Jump Rope (USAJR) is excited to be in Long Beach, California. The Long Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Long Beach Convention Center staff have gone over and
beyond our expectations to make our experience and competition a huge success.
We have worked very hard to secure lodging with various hotels in Long Beach. These contracted hotels allow us to use the Convention Center for a reasonable cost. Our use of the Convention Center is dependent upon the guaranteed sleeping room revenue that the hotels are anticipating from our athletes and their families. USAJR is contractually obligated to these hotels
for these room blocks and must cover them financially if the room blocks are not met by our
members. If you choose to stay in a non-contracted hotel or outside the USAJR room block
your registration fee will be higher so that we can meet our financial obligations. We ask for
your support for our tournament by staying at the contracted hotels.
We realize you can choose from many housing options in Long Beach and appreciate the tournament support you provide when you choose to stay in the USA Jump Rope room block at any
of the hotels listed in this guide. Competitors staying in the USA Jump Rope room block at
these hotels pay the Package Tournament Registration Fee of $100 for Gold Rush and
$265 ($135 for ages 30+) for Nationals. Hotel confirmation numbers must be provided with
your tournament registration.
Competitors choosing to stay outside the USA Jump Rope room block or at noncontracted hotels will need to pay the Non-Package Tournament Registration Fee of $115
for Gold Rush and $425 ($200 for ages 30+) for Nationals. (to cover the expense of the
Convention Center)
We will offer a waiver of the off-site registration fees for teams that live within a 50 mile radius
of Long Beach. You will be required to list your address of your residence to be verified for distance.
Please contact USA Jump Rope at 936-295-3332 if you have trouble reserving a room in the
USAJR block at the hotel of your choice.
If you have made your hotel reservations before the release date at any of our contracted hotels, please call the hotel to have them placed under the USAJR block or the rooms will be
considered outside of the on-site package prices.
Hotel Reservation Cancellation Policy: The deadline for any cancellations or changes to
room reservations under the USAJR room block at the three Headquarter hotels is May 20,
2014. Cancellation or changes made after this date will be charged for the equivalent of a onenight stay. Canceling an onsite room reservation after cut off date will result in a USAJR charge
of $180 for any cancellation changes made after May 20th, which must be paid before competition begins or your athlete will not be eligible to compete.
