Relationships among the characters are changing as the play progresses.
Compare the relationship between Peter and Anne in Scene 2 with the
relationship they have in Scene 3. Focus on what has changed and explain
why it has changed.
Many of the characters in the play have contrasting personalities. Select two
specific characters to compare and contrast. Include both differences and
similarities in a Venn Diagram.
Conflict is a struggle between two opposing forces. Identify some of the
internal and external conflicts that have occurred so far.
Throughout the play Anne and the other characters exhibit a wide range of
emotions Cite textual evidence from the play showing Anne experiencing

5) Write a diary entry that is at least ½ pg on notebook paper about Anne
spilling milk on Mrs. Van Daan’s coat (See pg. 561). You may write this
entry from Anne or Mrs. Van Dann’s point of view. Remember the diary
entry should explain what happened and how the writer (Mrs. Van Daan or
Anne) feels about the situation. Also keep in mind that journal should sound
like something that the chosen character would actually write.
