“Professional Training of Technical University Students in
Foreign Language: Theory and Practice”

Dear Colleagues,
We are delighted to invite you to participate in the All-Russian Scientific and Methodological Seminar
“Professional Training of Technical University Students in Foreign Language: Theory and Practice” with
international participation for university content and foreign language teachers, PhD students and
other specialists in the field of professional development and training. The Seminar is dedicated to
topical issues of profession oriented teaching methodology, content delivered in foreign language,
implementation of educational technologies. The agenda of the Seminar includes talks, panel discussions,
workshops and trainings, held by leading specialists in the stated fields. Seminar proceedings will be
published and registered in Russian Database of Scientific Citation.
Research Topics
The Organizing Committee accepts Registration Forms and paper submissions up to 4 pages
within the following fields:
1. Electronic educational resources potential in development of professional foreign-language
competence of prospective engineers.
2. Critical thinking development technology as a basis for technical university students` professional
competences.
3. Modern educational technologies in professional training in a foreign language.
4. Technologies of competence-based education for adults as means of specialists` professional
development.
The requirements to formatting the papers submissions are presented in below.

- the deadline for registration 25 February 2015
- the deadline for paper submissions 20 March 2015
- the Seminar dates 23 – 24 April 2015

Fee and Form of Participation
- 2000 R - attending in person (oral presentation, paper submission, without paper submission)
- 1500 R - non-attending. Virtual presentation.
The fee includes the Seminar participation certificate, proceedings publishing, 2 coffee breaks and social
events.

Requirements to the paper submission
Paper submission must be sent in a separate file. The name of the file with paper submission must
consist of the first author family name and initials, state the language (RUS or ENG or GER) and a number
of the Seminar research topics (e.g.: IVANOV_I_I_ENG_2).
The text of the paper submission must be presented in electronic versions of A4 size, book, Times New
Roman 12 nm; no syllabification; interline spacing – 1.5, all margins – 20 mm. Initials, the family name of
the author of the paper, next line – full name of an organisation. The title of the paper – bold font, all capital
letters, center alignment. Before the text – empty line. The text justification - width, paragraph indentation –
15 mm. Key words before the main text, not more than five. References are given in square brackets in
order to of appearance in the text. References are placed at the end of the paper. References in Russian
are to be formatted in compliance with GOST Р 7.0.11-2011, references in English and other languages
are to be formatted in compliance with Harvard Referencing Style.
One author is allowed to submit no more than two papers, including co-authorship. All the papers will be
reviewed. The authors may be offered to improve the paper. The Organising Committee can refuse to
accept the papers if they do not meet the requirements and research topics of the Seminar.
