Visit at La Vanille - Reserve Des Mascareignes
The Public Officers’ Welfare Council is organising a one-day excursion for public
officers and their families on Sunday 26 July 2015 as follows:
(i)
Half-day visit at La Vanille - Reserve Des Mascareignes; and
(ii) Leisure time at St Felix Beach where lunch will be served around noon.
Participants are advised to bring along sunscreen, sunglasses, swimwear and towels.

The cost of tickets is Rs.550/- per adult, Rs.350/- per child aged 3-12 years and free for
child under three years. The special package comprises the following:
( a ) Transport
( b ) Access fee
( c ) Guided visit of the park
( d ) View of crocodiles, giant tortoises, monkeys, Iguana
( e ) Stroll through its lush greenery
( f ) Children ride on giant tortoise
( g ) Visit of the insectorium (world’s largest private collections of butterflies and other insects)
( h ) Visit of Fossils Musuem
( i ) Petting Farm and
( j ) Lunch (Fried noodles or Fried rice + soft drinks).

In addition to the above, ‘Souvenir picture with baby crocodile’ will be offered to POWC
participants at a discounted rate of Rs 250 per picture provided there is demand from a
minimum of 10 persons. Please note that payment for pictures should be effected at the park
itself.

Please note that the buses will leave from the respective collecting points exactly at the
time indicated above and will depart from St-Felix Beach at 1530hrs. Participants who fail to
respect the time will have to make their own transport arrangements in both cases.

Tickets will be sold on a ‘first come first served basis’ on Saturday 27 June 2015 as
from 0900 to 1430 hours and on weekdays as from Monday 29 June 2015 during office hours
at the seat of the Public Officers' Welfare Council, 6th Floor, ATOM House, 16, Royal Street,
Port Louis.

Participants who cancel their trip will be refunded solely in exceptional cases e.g. illness
or death of a close relative, supported by documentary evidence.
8.
Kindly note that the excursion may be cancelled or postponed in case of bad weather or
any other reason which may cause disturbance. Therefore, participants’ mobile number is
important so that they may easily be contacted after working hours.
9.
Public Officers interested to join the excursion are requested to fill in the enclosed form
with a copy of recent payslip and birth certificates of children below 12 yrs and submit same
together with the exact amount to the Organising Secretary of the POWC.
10.
It would be appreciated if this letter could be circulated to all officers serving in your
