 Vendor fee includes 2 tables (Arts and Crafts); 1 table (Informational); 2 tables (Food Vendors) and 2 chairs for each.
 The defined set-up for 1 space is a 12ft. front with an 8 ft. side space. The defined set-up for 2 spaces is a 20ft. front with an
8 ft. side space using 4 tables. Please keep your items within the allotted space; angled, skewed or elongated set-ups
will not be allowed.
 No electricity provided, except to food vendor spaces.
 You may use canopies as long as it does not interfere with other vendor’s space or with the powwow and kept within your
vendor space. (We reserve the right to deny or limit canopy set-up in the instance that it affects the safety or well-being of the
general public, other vendors, committee and/ or event)
 If you need special accommodations of any type, please let the powwow committee know as soon as possible. Please note
that we will make an effort to accommodate your needs within reason, however, all requests may not be feasible for the
powwow committee to perform or guarantee.
 Please read over and sign the vendor rules and regulations agreement.
 Along with receipt of your vendor application, fee, and rules and regulations agreement, you will be sent confirmation by email
regarding your assigned vendor space. Assignments are done according to the postmark date on your application. Vendor
set-up will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m.
 Note all vendor applications are subject to approval.

Vendor Rules and Regulations Agreement
The Native American Student Association would like to welcome you the 21st Annual University of Iowa Powwow. We are
pleased to have you as a part of this year’s celebration. To ensure you enjoy a safe weekend with us, we have developed
the following list of rules and regulations:

Absolutely NO drugs or alcohol will be permitted.
Any property damage caused by you, family, or business partners will be charged to you.
No dogs/ cats or other animals will be allowed in the UI Recreation Building. (*With the exception of service animals.)
Arts and Crafts vendors are not to sell any drink or food items such as candy, etc.
The University of Iowa, and the Native American Student Association, will not be held responsible in cases of injuries,
damages, or stolen merchandise/ property.
Children are not to be left unattended.
The sale of tobacco, sage, sweet grass, or pipes will not be permitted.
Vendors will not be allowed to sell chicken feather headdresses, plastic tomahawks, toy drums, flutes, toy spears, toy
bow and arrows; new-age items such as tarot cards, crystals, incense, painted rocks, or any other imported
merchandise (trinkets from Japan, India, China, etc.)
Advertisements or the sale/ solicitation of vision quests, spiritual journeys, ceremonies, etc. will not be tolerated or
permitted.
All Native jewelry or art for sale should be authentic as defined by the Indian Arts and Craft Act of 1990 (P.L. 101644).
The Native American Student Association reserves the right of control over all sales of goods. This includes the right
to refuse the sale and/ or display of merchandise that is deemed inappropriate or unacceptable.
Food vendors will not be allowed to sell any drinks or candy of any kind.
Food vendors are responsible for the proper disposal of cooking grease they utilize in the bins provided for you as a
part of your paid fee. Grease is not to be left on the premises and/or disposed of on University of Iowa property.
All vendors will not be allowed to hold raffles, 50/ 50, etc.
Any vendor that does not abide by these rules will not be allowed to continue to sell at the powwow and will be asked
to leave forfeiting your booth space. NO EXCEPTIONS.
No refunds of booth space fees will be granted after you have been accepted as a vendor for the 21st Annual
University of Iowa Powwow.
Each vendor is individually responsible for the collection and payment of Iowa Sales Tax.
You will be able to temporarily park at the entrance of the UI Recreation Building to unload your items, however, you will
have to park in Lot 43. Please do not attempt to park in powwow committee regulated parking spaces; you will be towed
at your own expense. This will be strictly enforced.
 Sign and return the rules and regulations agreement with your application 
