Project Linus UK – Block Challenge 2015
Homes and Gardens
Any sort of house block and / or one with trees / flowers. 12 ½” square
unfinished. There are lots of examples in books and on the internet e.g.
Katherine Guerrier’s Scrap House Blocks e-book. You may need to add a
border to make up the size. Our volunteers will make them into quilts
for sick or disadvantaged children.
For beginners, here is a simple foundation pieced house – just add
more sky above and at the sides and some green or flowery fabric
below the house for the garden. You can add embroidery but, please,
no buttons or bows that could come off and be swallowed.
Bring your blocks to our stand at the Festival of Quilts next year or post
them to: FoQ Blocks, 18 Alison Rd, Church Stretton, Shropshire SY6 7AT.
