The Taradale upgrade is well underway
and thankfully the rear carpark is now
finished and open again so you can
park close to us. Inconvenience is
always a problem but the end result
will be better facilities for you, our
clients and customers to Taradale.
Winter is a time to rescue summer
sun-dried and stressed hair and skin,
and have a bit of pampering and
relaxation at the same time. It’s also
a great time to experiment with a
shorter haircut (great for wearing higher
neck tops) or to add some warmer
colours to your makeup collection. Our

While there’s been much controversy at Cranford, we believe
as I know a lot of you also believe, that the service they
provided and the care and work done by many staff and
volunteers was a wonderful asset to have in Hawke’s Bay.
The people over the years, that have had the need for such
a caring and specialised place such as Cranford, have had
nothing but praise for the care they recieved there. Many
people are working through this difficult time and we’re
hopeful of seeing Cranford back to being what it once was.
We donated all ticket sales and matched that total dollar for
dollar by presenting a cheque for $2,000 to Cranford Hospice
at Red Carpet. Wendy Menzies who has been a volunteer
at Cranford for sometime accepted the cheque on
their behalf.

In April we held our annual awards evening to recognise the
achievement of our stylists and therapists. Also, in conjunction
with L’Oréal, Storm (Napier) and Smashbox Cosmetics, we
showcased Autumn-Winter 2010 Hair, Beauty and Fashion
Collections. $2,000 was raised to support Cranford Hospice
and much fun was had by all. We plan to do this again in
order to give back to the community we live in. It was exciting
to partner with Storm and Smashbox for this event and one
lucky client on the evening won a $650 package of clothes,
hair and makeup. We certainly look forward to working with
Storm and Smashbox again in future events.
