PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Putnam County Charter School System (PCCSS) invites all
qualified contractors to submit proposals in response to this Bid
Request. This bid documents the requirements for the
proposals and the selection process for selecting contractors
for the construction project for PCCSS.

Pre-Proposal Conference:
There will be an on site Pre-Proposal Conference April 15, 2015
at 10:00 a.m. This will be the contractor’s opportunity to ask
any questions regarding the bid request, the process and to
review the existing conditions on site. While not mandatory, it
is recommended that interested contractors attend this
meeting.
Evaluation of proposals will be based on the following weighted
criteria:
1. Contractor’s Price
2. Contractor’s Experience
3. Best Interest of the District
Proposals must clearly respond to each requirement as
specified in the scope of work which is part of this document.
Contractors must furnish Proof of Insurance for the following:
Worker’s Compensation
General Liability
Automobile Insurance
Since this is a School Facility, the Contractor is to certify that
there are no registered sex offenders as part of their work
force.
Pursuant to the “Georgia Security and Immigration Act”, PCCSS
is required to have all its contractors register and participate in
the federal work authorization program to verify information
on all new employees. Contractors or subcontractors cannot
enter a contract with PCCSS for the physical performance of
services unless the contractors or subcontractors register and
participate in the federal work authorization program to verify
information of all new employees. O.C.G.A. 13-10-91.
SCOPE OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED
1. Concrete work (materials and labor for the following)
a. Grading and forming as required
b. Pour concrete 4000 PSI 6 inches thick
c. Ramp work at both ends of the parking lot
(To be discussed on site)
2. Painting
a. Prep and paint restrooms interior and exterior
b. Paint office interior and exterior
c. Paint plywood walls around perimeter of building
3. Framing and installation of metal siding as needed on
exterior
4. Pressure wash exterior of building
5. Frame and install insulation and plywood around
perimeter of building. R-30 insulation – 3/8 plywood on
walls, spray foam insulation beneath roof and partial walls
(areas to discussed on site)
6. Furnish and install two (2) 33ft insulated rolling steel
doors. One on each end of the building. Framing
modifications will be made by contractor
7. Septic system for restrooms
8. Electrical as required (to be discussed on site)
9. HVAC (to be discussed on site)
10. Final grading and compacting of crusher run and stone
