Take Your Child to Work Day- Thursday April 23 2015
I know that Take Your Child to Work Day is an important day to many families.
This year we are stuck in a situation where the M STEP assessment must be
administered to our 5th grade students on this day. So I ask that you pass on this
for this particular day. We are jammed with M STEP testing from April 13th - June
2nd. So we realistically have no spare time within this window to move testing
sessions. Please contact me if you have any questions.
4th Grade Concert Presentation on Instrumental Music
Join the Instrumental Music Staff on April 23 at 7:30 P.M. in the Seaholm HS
Auditorium for a concert presentation on instrumental music. This presentation
will give students an opportunity to hear each instrument and gain a better
understanding of the various groups of instruments.
In May, a representative from Anderson Music Company will come to West Maple
to test and fit students who wish to be involved in the instrumental music
program in 5th grade. More information about this exciting event will come home
as the event approaches.

Wear Your Blue Day
This Friday, April 24th we will be having a "Wear Your Blue Day" to support Trevor
Sullivan. Trevor is a student at Berkshire Middle School who is in need of heart
surgery. Next Friday we are asking everyone to wear blue and donate at least a
dollar to Team Trevor. If you donate more than $1.00, you will automatically be
given a blue Team Trevor Ribbon. Ribbons will also be available on Friday for
a donation near our front office if you would like to help out.
