The end of Mental Health Awareness Week is here! To celebrate, TADA is hosting a selfie scavenger hunt with prizes! Meet by the totem pole at lunch to participate! Also come celebrate on the field today at lunch with music, information and food! Mental illness is increasingly threatening the lives of our children; with Canada’s youth suicide rate the third highest in the industrialized world. Current Grade 11 students who are interested in taking university dual credit courses at VIU during their Grade 12 year, there is a list of courses being offered posted in the Career Centre. Volunteers are still needed for the Bench Elementary Fun Fair on May 29th from 4:00 – 7:30 p.m. Interested in volunteering for the Bench Fun Fair May 29th but don’t have transportation? A shuttle will be available to take students from Frances Kelsey to Bench Elementary. See Mrs. Spencer in the Career Centre for the waiver required to board the shuttle, or to sign up to volunteer. th Foodsafe Course offered on Tuesday, May 26 from 8:50 – 3:00. The cost is $40.00. Pick up a registration form from the bulletin board outside the foods room. Return forms and payment to Mrs. Thompson. First come, first served. This will be the last offering this school year.
