QL Service Infrastructure Standards Our consultants have between 5 and over 30 years experience in delivering IT systems to the Financial Services Industry across most systems providers. This included assisting banks with bespoke changes where our consultants have been involved in a range of development projects covering the Retail, Wholesale, Commercial and Private Banking areas. Our Credentials Technical Excellence Reliability ROI The a bove names a nd logos are trademarks of the respective organizations. In-‐depth technical and functional knowledge 2 We believe that any development project (large or small) should be undertaken with certainty as regards cost, quality and timescale. Our methodology ensures that any FI entrusting a development project to Quick Link can do so with confidence. We agree a fixed price for a properly scoped project up front and deliver a fully tested system, which matches the banks requirements. Our team structure ensures one of our senior consultants always oversees the project from beginning to end and signs off at key points within the project lifecycle. This ensures best practice in the technical and functional design of the project. Our Methodology Key Principles Our methodology is based on a few key principles. Initial Scoping Exercise – We always conduct an upfront scoping exercise. This w ill be done at an agreed price and will deliver a project-‐scoping document to the bank. As w ell as the project scope this document will also include a fixed price quotation for the work along with a project timeline and payment schedule. Once the bank accepts and signs this document Q L are committed to delivering the project at the agreed price. Design – The high-‐level design document is the ultimate reference document for the project as a whole. This will be signed off by both the bank and QL and will lead to detailed functional and technical design documents. The detailed designs are not required to be signed off by the bank. Development – our developments will be conducted following best industry practice and the bank’s and supplier’s development standards. Testing – testing is a key part of the project. The HLD will contain an outline of the test scenarios to be conducted and w ill therefore be subject to sign off by the bank. In addition the detailed test scenarios and case details along with expected and actual results will be provided to the bank as part of the deliverables. Our test team are happy to use and test management software in use by the bank. Change Control – Change control is critical to the success of the project. There are 2 aspects that need to be considered: • Overall Change Control w ithin the bank. It is essential (especially for lengthy projects) that QL are fully aware of any changes happening that could impact on the project. • Project Change Control. Any changes required to the scope of the project will be assessed on a case by case basis. Infrastructure – we recognize that the provision of development and test environments can be onerous for a bank. As part of our service therefore w e offer the ability to use Amazon Web Services for all development and test environments. Our experience shows that a bank can achieve significant savings in the non-‐production environments by using the on-‐demand capabilities of AWS. 3 Working as part of the FI’s project team our consultants can bring expertise both at the management and execution levels. Our development methodology produces key artifacts within the project to facilitate a clear scope definition followed by an auditable development cycle and final exhaustive testing before handing back to the client for final UAT / Acceptance Testing. Our standard methodology encompasses the production of most if not all of the following artifacts: Scoping Document High Level Design Detailed Functional Design Technical Design Testing Scenarios – Definition Testing Scenarios -‐ Results User Guide Installation Guide Data Conversion Guide Quick Link Consultancy – Banking Practice CEME Innovation Centre, Marsh Way, Rainham, Essex RM13 BEU, United Kingdom www.quicklinkconsultancy.com Document – QLB-‐DS-‐2015-‐2 United Kingdom – London Ireland -‐ Dublin Saudi Arabia -‐ Riyadh India -‐ Chennai, Pune
